About our Client - Our client is a leading Global Travel Management organization, with a strong presence in Asia Pacific. With their India operations over a decade old, they are looking for a Financial Controller to lead their retail segment, based out of Gurgaon

Job Description - This is a role where there are some technical aspects which are really important to the success of the position but the interpersonal requirements are the ones which are 'non-negotiable'.

On technical basis, the Controller is expected to :

- Review accuracy of monthly financial statements and management accounts

- Analyze and interpret monthly results and follow up on significant variances with area leader / team leaders

- Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and India minimum standards for financial systems and processes.

- Provide strong operational support including assisting operations with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.

- Prepare month end reconciliations and files. Internal audits of the businesses and reconciliation of all accounts on a rotational basis

- Provide ad-hoc training and accounting support as required. Assist with special projects and the implementation of systems and process improvement initiatives from time to time.

- Maintain high level of financial control in area.

The Successful Candidate :

- You are a CA with minimum 8 years experience, with a proven track of success in any high transaction industry (travel, logistics, insurance, cards, retail) with at least 4-5 years in a commercial or operational role.

With previous leadership experience and excellent interpersonal skills, you must have exposure working in a MNC environment.
