Regional Controller- Job description

Reporting to Global Controller, lead accounting and finance operations of seven global entities with primary responsibilities include :

- Oversee preparation & finalization of financial statement including notes to accounts involving multiple subsidiaries and multicurrency consolidation as per US GAAP and IFRS. Knowledge on computation of income tax provision as per ASC 740 including FIN 48 analysis.

- Direct and coordinate monthly closing of books of accounts in 3 business days; Present periodical financials reports (balance sheets, income and cash flow statements) to management with detailed commentary on the variance analysis in comparison with plan and forecast. Periodic reporting of detailed expenses analysis with major focus on head count, KPI metrics and dash boards.

- Proactively resolves issues, prepare required memos & ensure audit requirements are met beforehand & achieve clean audit finalization.

- Closely work with India auditors and tax consultants on filing of India income tax returns, service taxes & transfer pricing compliances.

- Direct timely, accurate and efficient distribution of payroll for all seven global entities.

- Manage Mumbai staff of 6

- Maintain and dictate global financial controls

- Prepare and enter allocations for financials

- Review and process all commission plans and payouts

- Lead all accounting functions including procure to pay, order to cash management & fixed asset management of all global entities. Ensure appropriate systems and controls are implemented, documented and timely monitored. Work with top management to develop plans for cost control, growth strategies, operations efficiency and cost reductions as appropriate.

- Provide support on financial strategies, annual planning, budgets and forecasts.

- Supervise accurate reporting of professional services departmental P&L, provide insight analysis on employee utilization, chargeability & rate. Review & analyze project profitability. Partner with business heads and present P&L and project profitability.

- Lead improvements to financial processes and procedures.

- Help to build and maintain a positive team culture, model the behaviors behind the company's philosophy.

- Maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability.

- Evaluate and manage staff performance to enable individual and team professional growth and development.

Essentials:-

- CPA/CA with 10-12 years of experience including 3-4 years as a Controller preferably in a software or an hi-tech industry (hope this is not mandatory)

- Experience in big 4 audit firms for 4+ years

- Experience with the design and implementation of accounting policies and procedures and internal controls

- Highly detail oriented, with exceptionally strong judgment, time management ability and unimpeachable integrity.

- Thorough knowledge of (US GAAP) generally accepted accounting principles;

- Strong interpersonal and team management skills with high level of expectations

- Self-driven team player with excellent communication skills;
