Financial Controller - BFSI (11-25 yrs)
Designation/Role:Financial Controller
Location : Hyderabad
The role will include complete ownership of controllership reporting to the MD/ED. The role will include the following:
Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive job cost system.
Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company
Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Month end, Quarter end and year end closing and reporting
- Balance Sheet consolidation and finalisation on bi-annual basis
- Cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Tax compliances - Direct and Indirect. Income tax & service tax returns and improvement in backup files & processes
- Credit and collection control - conceptualise and implement an effective credit policy and collection process considering the nature of business and stakeholders involved
- Implementation of Financial processes, systems and controls
- Designing and institutionalizing an effective Internal Control system
- Set up Budgetary Control process
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
CA or MBA (finance) or ICWA
10+ years of experience, with at least 8+ years of relevant experience in accounts and Consolidation.
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel Analytics.
Understanding of technology.
Highest standards of accuracy and precision
Excellent written and spoken English
