Financial Controller - Asia Pacific/Middle East & India Regions (10-18 yrs)
Main Responsibilities
- Review and analysis of the monthly financials with special focus on compliance to company finance policies and IFRS
- Support the month end closing process and preparation of month-end deliverables as per the group guidelines
- Work closely with country Finance directors on preparation of analysis and enhancing the controls
- Provide guidance and support to the country financial accounting team on key accounting issues
- Own the preparation and presentation of quarterly financial clearance materials to Regional Finance Directors
- Liaise with statutory auditors and work with in country finance to ensure statutory audit compliance
- Manage the accounting and analysis of regional HQ entities
- Work with SSC teams to embed the transitioned processes and provide guidance & direction to the teams to further enhance the control environment.
- Control and run process of completion of Internal Financial Reviews for both the regions
- Work with the RP&A team in region to develop effective reporting and financial analysis in line with best practice in UK.
- Being key stakeholder in the implementation of ERP system in the region.
- Act as regional representative to work with Corporate Accounting Team on global policies and procedure implementation
- Work on continuous improvement of the processes
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Formal education: Degree Level desirable
Technical education: Full accounting qualification (first time passes)
- Formal financial accounting qualification ACA,
- Good knowledge of International Accounting Standards and control governance
- Extensive post qualification experience in a similar role in a large listed group (FTSE 250) or large multinational, with proven track record in this technical field
- Experience in reviewing businesses performance against budget and forecast with the management team providing a robust and healthy challenge
- Experience in finance transformation activities
- Experience in reducing the month end timetable in global organizations
- Experience in strengthening a range of financial processes and controls
- Experience of ERP systems and group reporting tools
- Ability to travel through Asia and Middle East
