Group Profile: Financial Accounting and Reporting Group (FARG)

FARG is responsible for financial statements, review of accounting policies for standalone Bank and consolidated as per Indian GAAP and US GAAP of the Bank, Regulatory reporting, accounting policy framing and accounting advisory.

The Group ensures that the Bank prepares the financial statements in compliance with extant guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India and the accounting standards issued by ICAI.

- FARG finalises accounting policies and provides accounting guidance on various products and services across the Bank and its branches. The group also prepares and files various regulatory returns relating to financials to RBI.

- The Central Office Accounts Monitoring team (FARG-COAM) which is part of FARG, is responsible for monitoring, review and reporting of transactions in office accounts.

- This team will be involved in developing analytic tools for generating outlier transactions and maintenance and upgrading the same from time to time based on the experience it gains from review of the transactions.

Purpose of the Job :

- To be a part of the COAM team that will be responsible for monitoring, review and reporting of transactions in office accounts

Key deliverables :

- Developing rules for analytic tool for triggering outlier transactions from office accounts at branches

- Day to day review/scrutiny of transactions in office accounts at branches generated from the analytic tool

- Review/scrutiny of office accounts by further drill down for the transactions triggered by the analytic tool. The outlier transactions will be analysed for any pattern or misuse

- To identify the process lapses, conducting root cause analysis and recommend corrective action

- Preferably have some branch banking background

- Ability to work under pressure situations and meet timelines

- Submission of information/MIS to the Senior Management

- Process automation in various areas relating to the financial statements and documentation.

Educational Qualification :

MBA (Finance)/ CA
