We have an opening with one of our Banking clients for Financial Accounting profile.

Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of the accounting records for the two legal entities in Bengaluru by continuous monitoring and review; preparation and presentation of financial statements. Managing and maintaining the financial systems including the updating and upgrading as per requirement. Subject matter expert on financial accounting and governance, Group Accounting policies & procedures. Managing the Statutory and Tax audit end to end for both the legal entities and ensuring finalization in a timely manner. Responsible for managing the work done by the third party from the point of view of ensuring their completeness and timeliness. Funds management for Bengaluru entities and invoicing to service receivers. Implementing the changes in regulatory framework.

Leading the month end Financial Accounting reporting activity from the front - including drawing up of a monthly financial accounting closure calendar, monitoring activities done as per the calendar to ensure no overruns, review and booking of the tax entries and ensuring the accounts are closed in line with the requirements of the Company, both in terms of completeness of closure and the timelines for closure;

Oversight on the maintenance of Financial accounting and reporting System which includes maintenance of chart of accounts in People Soft General Ledger (PSGL), Cost centres, Product Codes, creation and maintenance of N Vision Reports, maintenance of Hyperion. Single Point of Contact for any enhancements request or concerns on functionality of PSGL or Hyperion for India;

Essential Experience Profile

- A Chartered (CA)/ Cost Accountant(ICWA) with not less than 7 years of post qualification experience or a CA/ICWA Intermediate pass with not less than 8 years relevant experience or a Graduate in Commerce with not less than 12 years relevant experience

- Good knowledge of financial accounting standards, accounting laws and regulations

- Good experience and knowledge in financial accounting and reporting systems, preferably with prior experience on PeopleSoft Financial Accounting system

- Excellent communication and analytical skills

- Should have experience of mentoring and managing teams.
