Finance Controller - CA - Online/Internet

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client a leading technology product startup based in Chennai is looking for a Finance Controller.

- The position will report directly to the group CFO for the following areas:

- Financial/external reporting

- Management reporting for the Group (IFRS), including preparation of Budget and Forecasts and reporting to the shareholder

- Tax accounting & SOX compliance

- Supervision of the Treasury management of the Group in coordination with the CFO

- Process controls & compliance, including ad hoc internal audit projects at group level

- Business control review in the Opex and Pay area

Main tasks and responsibilities:

- Managing the correct and timely Group consolidated reporting ( IGAAP, IFRS, budget, forecasts, monthly and daily reporting)

- Ensuring compliance with internal and external accounting policies and legislation

- Support the CFO in the Treasury Management, preparing cash flow forecast and analysis on weekly and monthly basis

- Continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency of processes by use of ICT means and optimal collaboration with other departments

- Maintaining and improving a control framework with internal control over financial reporting. This includes testing of internal controls, developing new controls to reduce the risk of errors, and identifying control improvement actions.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Candidate must be a qualified CA.

- Experienced with internal/external audit

- Experienced with Corporate Income Tax, US Taxation.

- Preferably someone who has worked in a IPO ready environment.

- Someone who has handled ESOP's for the organisation

- Knowledge of external reporting guidelines like IFRS, IGAAP and USGAAP

- 5-10 years' of experience in Financial control, preferably within B2B organisation

- Excellent Excel skills

- Excellent analytical skills

Relationship Skills:

- he/she must be able to effectively interact with employees, other department managers and senior management

- Open and transparent interaction with the CFO

- Able to effectively implement improvements to be achieved by taking own initiative and driving this to results

- Can coach and motivate people and is not shy to take firmer measures if necessary
