Finance Controller - BFSI (12-20 yrs)

Location: Bangalore

The Finance Controller is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. S/he will report into the CFO, working closely with the CFO and peers.

S/he should have prior experience in

- Provided vision and leadership for all aspects of the finance function including the Company's financing arrangements.

- Managed a full strength finance team such as revenue assurance, general accounting, FP&A, banking, direct & indirect taxation and MIS.

- Ensured that tax and regulatory payments, returns and filing are up to date and compliant.

- Budgeting - Led and reported the budgeting process, business planning.

- Identified and implemented best practices to make the Company- financial processes and internal controls more efficient and effective.

- Prepared reports as required for Audit Committee, Executive Committee and Board meetings;

- Prepared quarterly consolidated accounts; Ensured compliance of financials with IAS/IFRS accounting standards

The Ideal Candidate:

- S/he will lead a team of financial professionals and set standards of strong and ethical financial organization.

- Experience: Minimum 10 -15 years with at-least 5 years as a Finance Controller of a corporate; preferably from Insurance Industry or regulated Financial Service organizations

- Have or acquired a deep understanding of reconciliation and sales and is able to identify early indicators of risks.

- Experience of working in a start-up environment will be an added advantage.

- Excellent analytical skills, motivated, hardworking and self-driven leader

- A Master's Degree in Finance, Professional Finance Qualification (CA/ ACCA or equivalent).

- The leader is expected be a team player with experience in managing people and projects, a self-motivator with a pro-active attitude and with proficiency in SAP/Oracle/Tally/MS Office Applications.

- Ability to interact with stakeholders (internal and external) is essential.
