In US, the focus is on immigrant rights and how to apply a human rights perspective to domestic issues. They produce a range of new media including video games, video podcasts, and flash animations, to raise awareness and transform attitudes to create broader support for human rights.  Job Description:   This position plays a key role in developing and implementing the organisation’s financial strategy, as well as ensuring that there are sound financial practices and rigorous budgetary control. Specifically this position will:  - Lead Financial Planning of the organisation  - Control and Manage the Organisation’s Budget  - Assist in Developing and executing plans for organization sustainability  - Ensure compliances with applicable rules and regulations  - Set controls, systems and processes for effective financial management  Financial Oversight  - Ensure internal financial procedures, systems, policies and controls are applied and complied with by all staff  - Be the lead person and provide inputs on all financial issues of the Management Team   - Develop the funding/ finance strategy for India  - Prepare budgets, amendments and forecasts working with the Vice President and others  - Provide Vice President with all necessary financial information both proactively and on request.   - Ensure donors’ requirements are complied with   - Monitor and control the books of account  - Compile and finalise annual financial statements of the organisation  - Liaise with statutory auditors/ donor appointed auditors  Procedures, Systems and Controls   - Ensure compliance with local regulations in respect of financial and other matters (e.g. FCRA, Foreign Exchange, taxation and labour laws)  - Ensure compliance with procedural requirements of donors  - Ensure the development and implementation of India office financial security guidelines and regularly review their effectiveness and the compliance of all staff with these guidelines  - Conduct internal audits for the field sites every four months, to ensure that all financial and administrative procedures are carried out in line with India office policies and guidelines   - Regularly review the financial and reporting systems to ensure that they continue to be fit for purpose  Treasury   - Co-ordinate and maintain a cash forecasting system to ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the working requirements of the programs  - Ensure that payments are made in a timely and secure manner across all the country operations  - Ensure that all debts are recovered promptly  Donor Reporting & Monitoring of expenditure   - Prepare donor financial reports in line with donor reporting requirements   - Monitor ongoing levels of expenditure on individual programs against budget, and provide timely advice of likely over or under-spends to the Vice President and the relevant Program & Finance teams   - Ensure respective Program team understand variance implications and how to respond to and manage them effectively  External Relationships & Compliance   - Ensure that contractual commitments are financially sound and appropriate for the circumstances of the program.   - Liaise with local legal advisors when necessary   - Ensure appropriate and timely contact with government agencies to ensure that all legal requirements are met   Management and training   - Manage and support the performance and development of the organization’s accounts and administration staff, to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective service   - Make regular visits to Field sites for monitoring and supervision purposes  PLEASE EMAIL CV TO travisprofiles@gmail.com  Nandita  Travis Talent
