Fella Homes - Finance Controller

Job Responsibilities:

- Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

- Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports.

- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

- Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls. Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures

- Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.

- Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

- Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

- Guides accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.

- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

- Secures financial information by completing data base backups.

- Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.

- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Tracking and payment of all vendor invoices, and timely renewal of leases and other contracts. Managing overall costs and highlighting to management changes in costs as appropriate.

- Handling all aspects of payroll including accurate calculations of base pay and incentives, proper accounting of payments and timely issuance of payroll.

- Generating monthly, quarterly and annual MIS reports related to financial performance and financial status

- Responsible for IT system enhancement and development. Impact on innovations and changes (What is the expected extent of change of a function in terms of processes, systems, etc.- )

Skills Required:

- Expert knowledge of Company Act, IGAAP, IFRS, Direct & Indirect Tax Laws.

- Should be Passionate to work with highly growing Indian Startup,

- Very smart to grasp the change in Business modeling,

- Very strong & versed with Statutory & Compliance requirement,

- Developing Budgets & Tracking Budget Expenses,

- Accounting operations, Process setting up,

- Management Proficiency, Coordination.

- Knowledge of Tally

- Expertise in Excel Financial Modeling

- Expertise in Service Tax matters
