Factory/Plant Manager - FMCG (5-10 yrs)

Currently hiring for a client which is a very big agriculture commodities group in Africa and Asia. Below is the job description:

Designation: Factory Manager/Plant Manager/Incharge

Salary: 2500 USD - 3000 USD per month plus benefits

Location: Malawi, Africa

Principal Accountabilities:

- Managing the site for operational excellence in safety, manufacturing cost/efficiencies, capital deployment maintenance reliability, production procedures and best practices to ensure customer and product/quality standards requirements are met within specifications.

- Provides leadership, oversees, and facilitate/coach/teach/influence production and engineering team within packaging, refinery and maintenance.

- Engagement, talent development, performance management, succession planning and training. Provides leadership and leads the implementation of systems and processes to maintain a highly engaged workforce.

- Holds direct reports accountable for actively addressing engagement issues and identifies/leverages best practices in engagement.

- Execute base and non-base capital plan.

Cross-functional team activities and initiatives (S&OP, COE, project deployment, Commercial, R & D).

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering, science, etc.) OR 4+ years equivalent experience

- Minimum of 7+ years of manufacturing experience in an operations leadership role running and oilseed plant and vegetable oil refinery.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Proven ability to lead significant change.

- Ability to technically advise.

- Strong desire and ability to drive a proactive safety culture.

- Leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills.

- Strong problem identification, problem solving and decision making skills.

- Deep and practical business acumen, along with a working knowledge of general business functions including Production, Quality Assurance and Human Resources.

- Strong understanding of local, state and federal laws governing the facility operations. This includes areas such as EHS and Food Safety and basic employment law.

- Demonstrated ability to manage and coach others for high performance and high engagement; motivates, inspires and engages others to excel and work toward a vision.

- Product commercialization, capacity management in a food processing plant

- Strong liquid filling and packaging knowledge

- Formal project management skills

- PET, high filling lines

- Equipment installation experience
