Position Factory Manager - Kolkata Required By (Joining Date ) Immediate

Reports To (Person) - Category Manufacturing Manager (HO)

Direct Reports : There are 6 direct reports :

- Production Manager

- Engineering Manager

- Quality Manager

- HR Manager (matrix)

- Finance Manager (matrix)

- Security Manager

Role :

Manufacturing Planning : Review the volume projections for the factory and devise the budgetary requirements. Ensure adherence towards the execution of the operational plans within the stipulated budgets and timelines.

New Product Commercialization : Assess and ensure manufacturing readiness for new product commercialization within defined timeline with respect to technology, capacity, manning and infrastructure. Lead the institutionalization of new lines / augmentation of existing lines at the unit for capacity optimization.

Process Improvement Initiatives : Ensure overall quality improvement of processes and systems at the plant. Identify areas of possible improvement in the current manufacturing process. Assist factory teams to form cross functional teams to undertake process improvement initiatives

Production Management : Ensure market serviceability as per defined timelines and agreed quantities. Review and discuss the production performance on various defined key performance indicators and carry out smooth and continuous production run. Guide the team for commercial scale production of new production manufacturing changes related to new SKUs.

Quality Management : Ensure maintenance of quality standards with respect to products, processes and systems at the plants. Assess the need for capital investment and new quality systems to implement quality initiatives. Resolve Customer complaints with speed and ensure correction of root causes.

Plant Performance Evaluation : Review plant performance reports prepared by the plant teams. Review production indices with respect to fuel consumption, power consumption, man days per ton, manufacturing cost, production yield

Maintenance Management : Review the repairs and maintenance budget on periodic basis. Review annual maintenance contract and adherence to maintenance SOPs and standards

EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) : Ensure compliance to all the EHS related guidelines at all times. Refer to the corporate EHS manual and identify areas for compliance; Conduct EHS audit for new factory set up and conduct periodic visits to all the factories.

Statutory Compliance( Manufacturing) : Understand the required regulatory guidelines and ensure timely accreditation of all certificates, licenses in areas such as pollution control norms, weights and measures, boiler control, FSSAI etc.

Educational Qualification & Experience :

Engineering Graduate from the following institutes :

- IIT/NIT from (2005- 2007 batch)

- Should have a good academic track record (CGPA as well as Marks in UG, 10th and 12th standard)

Experience :

- A total of 10 - 15 years of work experience, out of which for a minimum of 5 years he should have managed a factory independently as the Factory Head. Experience in Plant Management / Production Operations, Projects, Utilities & Maintenance and Industrial Relations required.

- The position is to transition a green field project for the company and hence experience in managing a greenfield project is desirable.

Technical Knowledge : (Technical knowledge the person must have) :

- Thorough knowledge of supply chain management and manufacturing operations

- Thorough knowledge of internal quality systems and procedures

- Thorough knowledge of foods regulatory environment (FSSAI)

- Thorough knowledge of working principles of manufacturing equipment (functional working of equipment, control parameters etc.)

- Basic knowledge of working principles of maintenance equipment and utilities like generator and boiler efficiency, power and water distribution systems
