Factory Manager - Chemical Manufacturing

Objective of the role

Overall responsible for managing the Factory operations and achieving company targets while implementing and sustaining all the requirements of HSE, QMS and statutory norms. Overall Control of Factory Operations. Optimization of all activities and resources so as to ensure and continually improve on - Supply Response/OTIF- with quality products and services. The focus must on Inventory optimization, Productivity, best IR practices, and cost. Fully responsible for delivering the supply commitment to the business based on agreed supply/demand parameters.( Achieve Annual Production of - 30K T Admix, 32K T Powder & 540T Resin )

Key Areas of Responsibility

ESSENTIAL

- Fully responsible for the Occupational Health and Safety of people within an area of Factory operations by ensuring that proper practices are followed and that all aspects of company HSE Standards, sites, and legal HSE requirements are met.

- Implement the manufacturing plans in line with company's policies, strategies, and overall objectives for the factory. Maintain critical areas/cells to maximize productivity.

- Ensure all statutory and legal requirements relating to the factory are fulfilled in line with Company policies. This includes & not limited to Factories Act, Pollution Control and other Environmental Act, Weight and Measures Act, Packaging and Commodities Act etc.

- To ensure optimum utilization of existing equipment's while maintaining them in a good working condition. To ensure proper preventive maintenance schedule is established and maintained. Stringent monitoring on Equipment vulnerability and suggest/initiate appropriate mitigation.

- Material scheduling to ensure Optimal Inventory and On time delivery to satisfy the customer.

- Fully accountable & Responsible for controlling the Inventory, Quality Assurance and Assets.

- Responsible for having cohesive Labour relation to achieving the desired Productivity and Implementation of best IR practices.

- Responsible for upkeep of all Factory Records related to Statutory, HR, Excise, etc.

SECONDARY

- Attain multi skilling of workmen so as to ensure proper deployment in areas of high demand, with minimum losses and low cost.

- Improve the Process to achieve highest Quality Standards on a continuous basis.

Knowledge/ Experience/ Skills/ Personal attributes

ESSENTIAL:

- Knowledge of working in ERP

- Must have working experience in Continuous Process, Batch Industry.

- Must have experience in men management, Including Contract & Permanent workmen

- Good communication skills

DESIRABLE:

Working knowledge of Construction Chemicals Operations

Working Knowledge in Microsoft DAX ERP

Exposure of Multinational

Education Qualification:
