State Head - eVIN - EY - Rajasthan ( A UNDP Project)

Major Responsibilities :

Program Planning & Implementation :

- Overall responsible for the implementation of the project at the respective state & district level. PM will be responsible for the detailed workplans and implementation of activities related to eVIN which includes deployment of human resources, capacity building of staff including the RI staff at the state & district level, integration of supply chain solution with the temperature monitoring, programmatic and financial monitoring or project activities as well as reporting on project progress as & when required.

Building Partnerships :

- PM will be responsible for working closely with state government health officials and UNDP state project officers and may also require coordinating with the GAVI - HSS Partners namely UNICEF & WHO and other development partners working on immunization

Providing Leadership :

- Provides guidance and direction to the project and to the project team in the state. ably deals with HR issues including problem solving and conflict management. Discharges administrative and other responsibilities associated with the position. Mentors, Supports State & district based personnel supported by service provider

Monitoring & Evaluation :

- This will include undertaking field visits to monitor the implementation of the system and providing technical inputs to address gaps and bottlenecks in the implementation of eVIN. Commission and undertake documentation to the implementation process and analytical learnings. Undertake field visits for 12 days in a month.

Report Writing : Prepares periodic reports on status, annual reports, case studies, etc in a qualitative and timely manner.

Reports to : National Project Head, Designate State Official, UNDP Project Officer at the state level

Education : A minimum Post Graduate in Business Administration/ Public Health/ Hospital Management/ Supply Chain management from a reputed university / institution

Experience :

A minimum of 5-7 years of professional work experience at the state level in policy-cum-programme development, monitoring & implementation

- 2-3 proven experience in supply chain management and in healthcare environment especially in context of public health. Experience in vaccines supply chain & cold chain will be preferred

- Should have intrinsic knowledge of health care system of the country

- Understanding of immunization programme.

- Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills

- experience in managing & scaling large technology driven projects

- Experience of working in other state governments or other international development organization will be an asset.
