EY - Senior Consultant/Manager - IFRS9 - Credit Risk Quantitiative Skills

Domain experience :

- Knowledge of working with IFRS9 guidelines and transformations around areas linked to Classification and Measurement (C&M), Stage Determination, Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculation, Deterioration, EIR computation, related Disclosures and Reporting. Hands-on experience in transformational engagements of this nature are preferred.

- Credit risk quantitative skills, including the development and / or validation of credit risk models such as EAD, PD, LGD models and Expected Loss / impairment models

- Financial risk management, across the various areas of enterprise risk management - including risk strategy, risk appetite and capital management. Development and review of credit and credit risk policies, standards and procedural frameworks

Responsibilities :

- Work with clients to understand and analyze their credit portfolios, underlying risks and risk factors to then formulate approaches to develop appropriate credit models

- Develop credit models (PD, LGD, EAD, impairment, EL, as appropriate) using necessary statistical methodologies with the use of relevant analytical solutions

- Ensure engagement with the client, including presentations and discussions with senior management, to showcase intermediate and final outputs of work-products as well as address on-going queries

- Proactively identify gaps, issues and work with team for resolution, documentation, and implementation of appropriate action plans

- Design and impart training to not only client stakeholders, but also team members

- Contribute to the management of the practice through ownership of specific engagement delivery / business development / thought leadership aspects

Business development : Cultivate and manage business development opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to serve clients. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across EY practices to serve client needs.

Technical leadership : Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and industry knowledge. Demonstrate an ability to quickly assimilate to new information, regulatory requirements and industry-leading practices. Possess good business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services and industry trends.

People leadership : Demonstrate an ability to lead and manage a team of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members. Foster an innovative and inclusive, team-oriented work environment. Play an active role in coaching and mentoring associates within the organization.

Required Experience / Skills :

- Minimum 3-5 years of banking industry experience or experience in consulting and / related roles with a strong focus on financial services, banking services specifically

- Sound knowledge of corporate and retail banking products and banking risk and capital management practice

- Knowledge of banking industry developments and trends related to compliance guidelines, regulatory actions and financial market innovations

- Effective written and oral communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact with senior executives

- Experience with one / more of the following analytical solutions - SAS, SPSS, R

- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills and quantitative & technology skills.

Qualification :

- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering or a related discipline; an MBA or Master's in disciplines identified

Additional certifications : FRM / PRM / CFA
