EY - Senior Consultant - IT Internal Audit

Areas of Responsibility:

- Primary responsibilities will revolve around engagement management and supervision, and expanding opportunities at existing clients.

In addition, this person will have at least some level of responsibilities in the following areas:

Engagement Management:

- Perform or assist with IT internal Audit, Application audits, IT process reviews, IT Infrastructure Reviews, agreed upon procedures, developing Standard Operating Procedures

- Determine audit procedures necessary to achieve the desired audit results. Draft original audit programs appropriate for audit assignment.

- Report audit findings and make recommendations for the correction of noted control deficiencies and improvements in operations as per industry standards and best practices.

- Maintain strong client focus by building strong relationships with clients, scheduling and conducting key client meetings.

Team Development:

- Play a key role in the development of less experienced staff through mentoring, training and advising.

Business Development :

- Advancing opportunities with existing leads at target clients and cultivating relationships with new clients.

Estimated Time Allocation :

The requirements of this role will likely vary significantly over time, due to the ebb and flow of client engagement timing, the wide range of components required to grow our telecom practice, and change in focus as certain components of our practice become more mature.

- Project execution: 60% - 75%

- Business development - expanding work at existing clients: 10%-25%

- New business development as well as market, service suite, and team development: 20%-30%

Required Skills and Experience

- Significant telecom industry experience with good working knowledge of industry processes, terminology, players, and issues including exposure to communications products, services, rates, tariffs, regulations, service level agreements, interconnection agreements, order provisioning, customer care, usage processing and telecommunications billing processes, systems and interfaces.

- Experience with one or more of the following: internal audit, IT audit, consulting, external audit, data analytics, project management and/or litigation support

- Proven experience developing team members, service lines, methodologies, etc.

- Experience leading multiple, simultaneous project teams

- Excellent written and verbal communications skills

- Ability to work well independently and in a team-oriented environment

Educational & Professional Credentials:

- Minimum Qualification: MBA / CA / BE / CWA

- Candidates with CISA / CIA / CISSP / CFE preferred

- 4 - 6 years of experience in large accountancy, consultancy or relevant industry segment

- Prior Big 4 experience a plus

- Experience in Internal audits / IT Audit / Technology Risk in Banking / Financial services preferred
