Global FAAS has set up an accounting support Center of Excellence (CoE) in India, in collaboration with FAAS India and the Global Talent Hub (GTH) in order to leverage the talent in India to enhance our service quality and consistency. This would add scalability to our offerings; supplementing our resource needs and help us increase our margins and win in the market.

FAAS CoE is looking for a prospective candidate suitable for the role of a manager, to build and grow our Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) team.

- The manager will be responsible for working closely with FAAS Partners, Senior Managers and Managers on client engagements across Americas and EMEIA. In addition to managing service delivery, the individual will provide technical support, grow the portfolio and coach Assistant Managers/Seniors.

- The Manager should have extensive experience in Financial Accounting Advisory Services.

- He/She is also expected to display a high level of technical knowledge in US GAAP and/or IFRS.

- While the manager will be based out of our Gurgaon or Bangalore center, he/she will be required to travel to other countries (short to medium term) for executing on client engagements.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage quality of service delivery

- Lead client service teams to execute following FAAS solutions

- Financial Accounting and Reporting Excellence

- Accounting Processes

- Regulation, Governance and Financing

- Audit remediation and readiness

- Organizing and providing technical training

- Addressing service delivery quality issues if and when they occur

- Manage and develop people

- Lead a team of Assistant Managers and Seniors and make sure the team delivers high quality work, adhere to the EY Global methodology, on time and per the budget

- Conduct FAAS team performance reviews, serve as a positive leader and mentor, and contribute to the team performance

- Identify development opportunities and training needs for high performing AM/Seniors

- Manage business and clients

- Actively support the Americas or EMEIA FAAS leadership both in terms of growth and quality initiatives

- Enhance relationships with global teams and leverage connections to identify opportunities for work at the GTH

Job description:

Competencies/Skills:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA (US) or ACCA (UK)

- 7-10 years (post qualification) in auditing or finance controllership roles including at least 2 years of Financial Accounting and Advisory experience

- Expert Knowledge of IFRS/US/UK GAAP and International auditing standards

- Knowledge of Indian accounting and auditing standards

- Extensive working experience in relation to the following services/solutions:

- GAAP conversions and implementation of new accounting standards

- Drafting and designing accounting policies

- Technical accounting research and advice

- Consolidation and Compilation support

- Financial statement close process support

- Transaction accounting and reporting - IPO's, Carve Outs, PPA etc.

- Audit remediation and readiness

- Benchmarking services and market analysis

- Advanced data analytics (will be an added advantage)

- Industry Sector specialization will be an added advantage

- International work experience will have added advantage
