Assistant Director - Rapid Response Analyst   - As part of its Market Developments & Insights (MD&I) group, EY Knowledge is building a small team of high-performing analysts and knowledge managers to provide a rapid response force to the business, supporting non-domain specific strategic initiatives.   - The scope and time frame of these initiatives may vary but they will always be of major strategic importance to the business,To help with that build out, EY is looking for a talented and driven Rapid Response Analyst.  - The Analyst will be responsible for delivering impact full analysis and insight, supporting non-domain specific strategic initiatives.   - The role will require working closely at times with knowledge specialists in other domains (e.g. in another sector, service line or geography) to deliver on cross-sector / cross-service line topics and initiatives.   - Successful execution of the role will require the ability to combine strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset with real-world perspective driven by an understanding of both clients experiences and broader marketplace drivers.   - This position partners with senior EY Knowledge leadership and business stakeholders to scope the requirements for strategic initiatives, resolving complex issues, overcoming obstacles and in clarifying purpose, objective and scope.   - This individual will be credible as an expert and will help to ensure the quality and delivery of research, analysis, market intelligence and other intellectual capital in close cooperation with domain cluster and knowledge leaders and other leaders within EY Knowledge.   Essential Functions of the Job :  - Working independently and in conjunction with the Global Rapid Response Leader, Global MD&I Leader and GTH MD&I Leader, providing clear analytical insight with responsibility for the execution of strategic initiatives sponsored by EY Knowledge / Global Markets.   - Should be able to provide a big-picture perspective on the issues, challenges and opportunities around cross firm initiatives and prepare insightful analysis on the impact of those trends for EY and its clients.   - Supports development and co-creation of insights beyond publicly available information by interacting with the Knowledge Manager, account teams, engagement teams and service line colleagues to extract, update, share and use appropriate content.   - Ensure coordination with other team leaders in the MD&I team to leverage existing materials for specific projects and identify opportunities to bring in expertise from other teams, if required.  - Identifies cross-sector Point of View (POV) sharing opportunities and collaborates with other domain teams on issues that cut across EY's business activities.   - Monitor economic and key market issues relevant to initiatives within the team's portfolio and shares this information as appropriate.  - May participate in client meetings, round tables and other events to strengthen EY's presence and reputation in the market.   - Supports the Rapid Response Leader to coordinate with the Knowledge Talent & Operation's Strategic Initiatives team, as required, optimizing support for the business and to team on initiatives, when appropriate.  - Engages with EY Bench marking team to use available data to support priorities and share back knowledge with the Bench marking team for broader reuse across the firm.   - Act as a role model within EY Knowledge, promoting a learning environment and sharing knowledge with the team and other groups inside and outside EY  Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities :   - Confident in understanding multiple business drivers and demonstrates capability of defining the root causes of trends.   - Capable at identifying issues and trends that translate into key market-facing initiatives and opportunities for EY.   - Demonstrates ability to use both qualitative and quantitative research and analysis methodologies, including financial analysis skills, to synthesize information, review data inputs and provide analytic insights   - Adept at using strategically sound analytical methodologies and capable at coaching less-experienced team members to improve their skills in research, analysis, data analytics and visualization.   - Objective assessment of the strategic initiative to provide recommendations on current and future knowledge management/analyst support.  Knowledge and Skills Requirements :  - Strong executive presence and demonstrated experience in presenting to executive-level audience  - Succinct and structured oral and written communications skills with proven ability to explain complex concepts in a crisp, clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools.   - Ability to take ownership for delivering customized projects with a high degree of autonomy; adept at managing several projects simultaneously.   - Understanding of the business and demonstrated commercial acumen using commercial language that presents knowledge activities in the context of business objectives   - Professional, confident, credible and an enthusiastic team player who is able to work effectively across functional teams and domains  - Strong project management skills and experience in leading complex programs and projects to achieve milestones and objectives  - Limited direct supervision responsibility but must help to cultivate a high-performance teaming environment with analysts in a global, multi-cultural and virtual environment   - Reviews the work of colleagues and mentors their skill development   - Flexibility in working hours to accommodate multiple time zones as needed  - Comfortable working virtually across service lines and geographies  - May require occasional travel, both domestic and international.  - Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline and/or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred  - 9+ years of relevant work experience in a professional services industry. Client-serving experience will be preferred
