Job Summary:  The GTH Domain Team Leader is the leader of the Research & Insights (R&I) domain team across GTH locations, and is responsible for its performance, in terms of providing exceptional client service, creating commercial impact for the firm, and building and maintaining the highest performing team.   The position manages the delivery of R&I services in the domain for all customer groups, in alignment with the requirements and capacity allocation for each customer group. The position is accountable for end-to-end project management. In case of conflicting projects, the team leader prioritizes among the projects in consultation with the GTH BU Leader and global domain Knowledge Leader, as required.  The position is responsible for all aspects of team management and operational activities for the domain, including achievement of GTH-specific goals and initiatives and collaborating closely with other domain team leaders. The team leader also drives greater integration and consistency in R&I services, and people and operational processes across GTH locations, in consultation with the GTH R&I Leader and GTH BU Leader, as required.  The position also works on customer projects as the project leader, analyst or peer reviewer in line with their time allocation for service delivery.  The position works closely with the global domain Knowledge Leader to understand the global stakeholder priorities, knowledge plan and the requirements from GTH. Likewise, the Team Leader works with the GTH Areas Portfolio Leader and the GTH BU Leader to understand the area-level priorities and the requirements from GTH with respect to the domain. The Team Leader leverages a deep understanding of the domain and the requirements of various customer groups to assist the GTH BU Leader in planning the capacity and competency requirements in GTH to support each customer group.  Purpose of the job:   - Leads the GTH R&I domain team across locations, and is responsible for providing exceptional client service, creating commercial impact for the firm, and building and maintaining the highest performing team  - Manages the delivery of R&I services in the domain for all customer groups, in alignment with the requirements and capacity allocation for each customer group; addresses conflicting priorities in consultation with the GTH BU Leader and global domain Knowledge Leader, as required   - Oversees project delivery from end-to-end: understanding customer objectives, scoping projects, staffing appropriate resources, reviewing quality of deliverables, communicating with customers and tracking commercial impact of work   - Leads all people and team management activities in the domain, including talent recruitment and engagement, competency development, performance management, career development and Rewards & Recognition.  - Oversees all operational activities for the domain, including MIS reporting, sharing and implementation of best practices, etc.; is responsible for achievement of GTH-specific goals and initiatives in the domain  - Drives greater integration and consistency in R&I services, and people and operational processes within the domain team across GTH locations, in consultation with the GTH R&I Leader and GTH BU Leader, as required.  - Collaborates and partners effectively with other domain team leaders on execution of cross-domain projects and initiatives, sharing and implementation of leading practices, etc.  - Works on select customer projects as the project leader, analyst or peer reviewer  - Leverages deep understanding of the domain, and the priorities and requirements of various customer groups to assist the GTH BU Leader in planning the capacity and competency requirements in GTH to support each customer group   Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:   - Prioritizes workflow from various customer groups and determines staffing for projects based on customer objectives, competency requirements and commercial impact; manages conflicting priorities and escalates to seek guidance when necessary  - Addresses people and operations-related issues and challenges in the domain; escalates to seek guidance when necessary   - Leads/manages complex customer projects that require the ability to scope effectively; assign tasks and follow up on their completion; perform hands-on analysis and draw out insights; and manage customer expectations  - Feeds into the capacity and competency planning exercise for the domain for individual customer groups   Knowledge and Skills Requirements:  Technical/Domain  - Deep knowledge and understanding of the domain, including business trends and drivers, the priorities and needs of EY's clients and EY Knowledge stakeholders/customers (domain experience is an advantage)  - Strong understanding of EY solutions and services in the domain, and how they apply to external client issues  - Strong analysis and predictive judgment skills and the ability to draw out commercially-focused insights/PoV   Core/ Firmwide  - Understanding of the business and demonstrated commercial acumen; mentors and coaches senior and experienced analysts  - Works independently, exercising discretion and independent judgment about what to escalate  Other Requirements:  - Travel may be required pending business and project needs  - Working hours, flexible work arrangements and time off may be limited during specific times or deadlines  - Flexibility in working hours to accommodate multiple time zones as needed  - Overtime, as needed to meet deadlines  Job Requirements:  Education:  - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, an MBA/CFA/CA will be an added advantage  Experience:  - Approximately 6+ years of professional experience with a minimum of 2 years of team/people management experience  - Deep domain understanding either from the industry or in a professional services role  - Expertise with research and analysis tools and techniques and information sources, including those specific to the domain  - Professional service industry experience or client-serving experience preferred  - Strong executive presence: able to interact with senior level executives and build and maintain strong, trust-based and credible relationships
