Roles & Responsibilities:
Essentially includes executing/leading advisory or related data engagements in a client environment and performing following activities on a day-to-day basis
- Project Delivery: Ownership and support of deliverables as mandated by project requirements. Execution of engagement tasks independently or in a team setting and delivering to high quality standards
- Project Support: Support the Engagement Manager in planning engagements and adhering to engagement delivery requirements
- Practice Development: Supporting and contributing to various internal practice initiatives
Candidate Profile:
- Graduate/ Post Graduate with relevant experience in:
Essential: Strong SAS, SQL, VBA, MS Access and MS-Excel skills (preferably with certification)
Preferred: ACL, MS-SQL Server, Oracle etc.
- Prior experience in Big 4 Audit firms or major consulting firms (preferred)
- 3-6 years of experience having exposure to risk/compliance/regulatory frameworks in one or more of the following areas:
Data retrieval from various data stores or files; Combine and filter those data as required for the analysis :
- Ability to extract data from various formats/structures e.g. flat text files, DB files, report formats etc.
- Have extensive experience performing slicing and dicing of data
- Analyze and summarize data by various parameters
Data quality assessments:
- Working knowledge of various stages of data governance & quality frameworks
- Draw data lineage maps
- Ability to identify business rules/transformation and instill data quality and validation mechanism
- Define risk and controls
- Automate tracking quality across the data life cycle
- Experience in implementation of data quality with the use of tools like Informatica, SAS, data flux etc.
- Build data quality dashboards, MI & scorecards
- Maintenance and monitoring of data quality in production
Reconciliation between multiple data sources; Root cause analysis on the data integrity issues:
- Identify critical data elements and metrics
- Work with business owners to understand data transformations and define reconciliations
- Automate reconciliations and highlight exceptions
Data design concepts and principles:
- Knowledge of data quality principles - completeness, appropriateness etc.
- Experience in applying data quality principles in an organizational setup primarily in banking and insurance sectors
- Analytics, Research, Statistical sampling and Quantitative analysis
Process documentation:
- Chalk out the current and future state with the use of tools like Visio etc.
- Project critical data elements and risk areas
- Experience in Insurance or Banking domain is essential, Prior International travel / VISA (preferable)
