Position Title : Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager- Actuarial Modelling

Business Unit : Actuarial

Reporting To : General Manager- Actuarial

Position Summary :

The position is part of the modeling team. The position entails maintenance and enhancement of Prophet Models and DCS scripts. Also, to conduct quarterly experience investigations along with any ad-hoc data analysis.

Key Accountabilities :

- Maintain and Enhance Prophet Model and DCS scripts

- Model New Products into Prophet and Add new functionality into DCS

- Optimize the models from time to time to reduce run-time or add greater flexibility

- Assist in Quarterly Experience Investigation

- Conduct Data Analysis for persistency/mortality trend spotting

- Actively engage source data systems for data quality and correction

- Actively engage in newer projects/assignments from time to time

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications :

- Should have around 1+ years of experience in Life Insurance Domain

- Min. 4 Exams - Must show consistency in exam pass (Should have cleared atleast 1 exam within last one year)

- Exposure to Prophet or any other actuarial system is a must (atleast for 6 months).

- Exposure to MS SQL/MS ACCESS or any other database system

- Well versed with MS Office

Performance Measures :

- Incorporate comprehensive data checks in the validation program

- Maintain DCS Programs with proper version control and documentation.

- Generate data error/ movement reports and provide feedback to the IT for improvement of the data quality

- Automation and generation of the experience investigation reports

- Optimizing the DCS code to improve accuracy and reducing run time

- Assist in model reviews and Prophet modeling on ad-hoc basis
