Purchasing of lab equipments and instruments

Driving quality system across the plant, deployment of SOPs

Driving improvements within function and at manufacturing site w.r.t. Productivity / Quality.

Leading the team of Officers & Sr Officers who will be responsible for quality assurance activities.

Identifying & implementing different projects on Customer centricity

Conducting / driving the RCA projects on customer complaints

Implementing tools like FMEA / LEAN / KAIZEN / SIX SIGMA etc at manufacturing location.

Defining the KPIs for the team members & ensuring the completion of those within timelines.

Identifying and implementing projects on team engagement & motivation

Participating and contributing to the new product introduction process

Ensure adherence of the Safety / Environment & Quality practices within the function.

Ensure effectiveness in the deployment of quality processes through conduct of periodic assessments of identified key processes and identify opportunities for improvements and help implement the same.

Encourage & ensure transfer of best practices through various knowledge management platforms.

Keeping the function abreast with the latest trends in the area of quality management.

Training & Development on problem solving, Facilitating implementation of FMEA, Lean & Six Sigma in contract manufacturing sites.

Prior QA experience i.e.,basic compliance requirements and/or conducting self inspection audits. Ability to understand & deploy product specifications, quality control test is required.

Candidate must have ability to provide basic lab systems training, reinforce good lab practices.

Functional knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 standards is a must.

Knowledge of quality management practices & initiatives (5S, SPC, TQM, FMEA, Lean, ISO 9001 etc.)

Candidate could preferably be a certified Quality professional (viz. Certified Quality Engineer from ASQ etc.)

Candidates could preferably be certified as Internal / Lead Auditors in ISO 9001.

Implemented Six Sigma projects or green belt in six sigma

Good Knowledge on the tools like SIX SIGMA / LEAN

Hands on experience in problem solving i.e. RCA

Good Communication & proficiency in computer

The person is expected to interact with all functional heads within the plants drive improvements in key business processes and facilitate implementation of initiatives.

Good Analytical & Problem Solving Skills, Exposure to Six Sigma,FMEA and Lean would be an advantage, Customer Complaint Handing, Knowledge on ISO 9001:2015, Training & Facilitation skills

Qualification: BE/BTech (Mech/Prod/Chemical) & 6-8 years relevant work experience.
