The role's responsibilities include :

- We are looking to bring on board a - General Manager - Strategy & New Initiatives- . S/he will be responsible for providing strategic insight to various parts of the business, aimed either at unlocking a future avenue of growth, or solving a key business problem. The role will thereafter be involved in scoping and structuring a project around the same, and rolling out a solution to address the issue or growth area.

- S/he will be working on 1 - 3 projects at a time. Once the project / business is rolled out and stabilized after due course correction, they will hand them off to the Growth Managers and then move on to the next project.

- The incumbent must possess experience in strategic consulting to be able to identify and analyze a problem adequately. Given the ambiguity in this role and the fact that the person will be working on new, often unchartered areas of the business, the incumbent should have the ability to scope and structure work in such an environment.

- The incumbent must have managed a team of 2 - 3 people to be able to resource an internal team (or make external hires) to drive the project to fruition.

- S/he will be closely working with the Associate Vice President New Initiatives as well as the Vice President to brainstorm ideas for the project.

- This role is a combination of both strategy development / problem solving / planning, as well as driving flawless execution - therefore, strong project management skills, the ability to drive people to deliver, and understanding and accounting for operational challenges, will also be critical.

- In this regard, prior BD / S&M / operations experience in a large company is preferred.

- The incumbent should be able to come up with disruptive ideas and drive implementation of the same. S/he should be able to think beyond the role and translate the goal of - customer satisfaction- into every aspect of the business.

- The individual will need to fit in well into the hands-on entrepreneurial culture of Eventzroyale and be a key contributor to its growth.

- Given the strategic importance of this role, the individual will be reporting to the Associate Vice President and hands on interacting with the Vice President. S/he will be a critical member of the team.

Basic Qualifications :

- 1 - 2 years- experience in a strategy consulting firm as well as 1 - 2 years of business development and sales and marketing experience in a large corporate setup would be preferred

- MBA from a Tier 1 Indian or foreign B school is preferred

- Technical / Engineering or Economics / Econometrics background is preferred

- Strong project management and project execution / delivery experience

- Ability to - think out of the box- and come up with creative ideas based on professional, practical analysis of situations

- Experience and knowledge of leading a team, including the natural ability to motivate, coach & mentor members to maximize results

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Understanding of e-commerce related tools like google analytics, omniture, etc. preferred (but not mandatory)

- Should be obsessed with enhancing the consumer experience

- Understanding consumers well and using insights to develop the strategy

- Incorporating customer feedback and using that to better overall customer experience

- Should be extremely tech savvy to be able to contribute ideas for leveraging technology to enhance customer experience and for customer acquisition

- Comfortable working with large or unorganised data sets

- Ability to structure data to arrive at meaningful, actionable solutions
