Job description :  Onshore role for research associate support for sell-side research analyst (institutional equities) of a Global brokerage housing  - Collect financial data using online and other data sources such as Bloomberg and Reuters   - Manage and maintain databases   - Build historical models and provide forecasts   - Develop company operating metrics based on relevance in different sectors/companies   - Conduct extensive company valuation using DCF, DDM, trading and transaction multiples, EVA, etc.  - Write extensive reports (e.g., company profiles, earning notes, quarterly updates, initiating coverage reports, sector reports, newsletters technology primers, Flashnotes, and theme-based reports)   - Summarize investment conference calls and conduct management interviews   - Develop roadshow presentations   - Handle ad hoc research requests based on client requirements   Skill Set Required  - Ability to identify and solve issues effectively   - Eye for detail   - Proficiency in MS Office   - Strong accounting and financial skills   - Basic knowledge of macroeconomic aggregates and regression analysis  - Ability to ensure timely completion of tasks   - Attentive listening skills   - Ability to implement new working styles   - Ability to identify proactive ways to contribute to the company's goals and mission   - Knowledge of database tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial data systems   - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills   Education and experience  - Education: CA (first attempt); MBA (finance) from a top 20 Institute; CFA would be an added advantage  - Experience: 1- 4 years in equity research or any finance function  Compensation  To be decided on a case-by-case basis, pegged with the best in the industry.
