Consulting Analyst (CA) Full time Position

Salary range - 7-9 LPA

Overview of the role :

- The ideal candidate will have proven experience in either business/competitive intelligence/ consulting/market research in (but not limited to) the India region.

- The candidate will also speak English and ideally one other European language. The candidate should possess strong analytical and numerical skills, a proven track record in data analysis/manipulation and strong presentation skills.

Key responsibilities :

- The Consulting Analyst role is central to the running and further growth of Euromonitor's ad hoc research capacity in India. Analysts must be self-starting, autonomous individuals willing and able to take on full personal responsibility for researching, analyzing, implementing and delivering projects to full client satisfaction.

- The position reports to the Consulting Manager with day-to-day support and management by the local team lead. He/she will also be reporting for overall specific projects to Consultants/Associate Consultants/Senior Consultant/Consulting Managers in EMI London and other offices.

- Working closely with research Consultants/Associate Consultants on project planning, briefing, research, modelling and finalization checks

- Secondary research on industry/company sources, for personal use and for dissemination to Research Analysts

- Store audits (collecting data on existing brands/manufacturers, product pricing/promotion/shelf space, etc.) to complement primary research

- Primary research (trade interviewing), direct contact with companies and industry bodies to enhance quantitative and qualitative information available in the public domain

- Preparation of market summaries for industry sources at pre-interview phase to encourage participation

- Preparation and writing of company/industry reports and/or management summaries

- Validating market data, including integrity of company and brand information

- Finalization of delivery documents

- Taking part in client presentations (as required)

- Scrutinizing data proactively and as a result of client queries

- Working directly with clients on a regular basis in conjunction with research consultants, including delivery of findings in face to face/conference call/ presentations

- Direct liaison with Euromonitor in-house and field Research Analysts, conveying key industry issues and country-specific data and information

- In conjunction with the Associate Consultants/ Consultants/ Senior Consultants proactively encourage clients to share information and work to a common goal

Skills and Proficiencies Required :

- Proven research track record, proven skills in desk research and trade interviewing

- Experience of quantitative and qualitative analysis

- Strong strategic report writing skills

- In-depth knowledge of trends and competitive environment in one or more consumer markets

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- High level of numeracy

- Organisational ability

- Tenacity and attention to detail

- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines

- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint

- Other European & Asian an advantage

- Editorial skills an advantage

- Degree in a related discipline advantageous
