Equity Research - Retail/Consumer Sector - Captive

We have an opportunity with one of the captives in Mumbai in Equity Research desk for tracking one of the global regions for Retail/Consumer sector.

- The Associate will primarily be involved in company coverage (80%) and will also work on thematic research (20%).

- The Associate's main responsibility is to support the analyst with coverage of the existing companies and also help with initiating coverage activities.

- There will be thematic work alongside supporting daily coverage, including managing weekly and monthly products.

- Candidates will also help prepare research presentations and research notes for internal and external consumption as well as model building and maintaining a number of industry databases.

- 3-4 years of relevant work-experience. The candidate should preferably have experience of the Retail sector in either UK & Europe or US

- Good valuation modeling skills (DCF and Relative Valuation)

- Good data management and analysis skills and a high degree of comfort with Excel; should be comfortable in maintaining and updating existing models and large complex databases

- Strong writing skills (good at structuring the report and articulating the key findings); Ability to synthesize ideas in clear, logical, and precise written English; must be already involved in writing research reports
