Engineering/Sr Engineering Manager - Java - Mcommerce

Position: Engineering Manager / Sr. Engineering Manager

Location: Gurgaon

Exp: 6-15 years

Key Responsibilities:

-  Lead a team of extremely talented engineers while remaining hands-on yourself in development of state-of-art, highly scalable and distributed product platforms and systems

- Manage day to day software development tasks, resource allocation, bug triaging, status reports and quality control

- Collaborate with product management to understand and deliver new features and enhancements

- Provide frequent and constructive feedback to your team. Mentor juniors and fresh engineers

- Apply industry best practices and new technology to enhance productivity, quality, and system performance.

- Work closely with development, program management, test, operations, and product management to define and articulate project technical requirements.

- Allocates available resources to meet operating objectives. Interacts with direct reports, customers and peers to share information and improve cross-departmental processes

- Improve platform by leveraging existing technology, building new technology, and/or helping evaluate 3rd party solutions.
 
Desired Profile:

- BE, B.Tech, ME, M.Tech in Computer Science or related field

- 8+ years of experience in developing cutting edge web-based applications and web- sites. 3+ years of experience in leading development teams of more than 10 –15 people

- Strong object oriented concepts and knowledge of design patterns

- Solid understanding of Java, SQL, Linux, PHP5, JavaScript, AJAX and HTML

- Well versed with RDBMS with hands on experience in MySQL

- Extremely good communications and interpersonal skills

- Good planning and estimations skills

- Knowledge of Scrum and Agile development practices
