Position Summary :  - Senior level manager responsible for leadership and oversight of test and development team in Bangalore. This team works closely with development engineers in Cambridge UK and Boston MA.   - The manager of this team must be able to work well with leadership in other geographies, and communicate well both orally and through written prose. This position requires someone who can recruit and build a high performance team, excite and lead in a dynamic and changing environment where priorities can shift from time to time.  - This person is expected to be a “player/coach” type manager who is able and willing to work with the engineering and test engineers to solve problems and provide solutions.   - Demonstrates expertise in a variety of test and QA practices, concepts and procedures. Relies on extensive judgment and wide-ranging experience to plan and accomplish goals with engineering team(s). Performs consultation on complex projects.   - Applies expertise in leading and coordinating others across multiple concurrent projects with complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires both broad and in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Is sought out for guidance regarding methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.   Primary Duties / Responsibilities :  - Lead and manage test and development team from 10 to 20 people.  - Work closely with other managers in US and UK to allocate resources and plan projects  - Conduct annual performance reviews and quarterly MBO assessments  - Identify talent gaps, interview, recruit and build high-performance team  - Provide technical leadership and guidance to more junior members of the team  - Present updates, track progress, and make adjustments when and where necessary to complete tasks.   Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) :  - Demonstrated expert level knowledge in test methodologies, QA process, defect tracking, and software release cycle.  - Strong working knowledge of automated test development. Experience with automated test harnesses a plus.  - Demonstrated ability to apply appropriate test methodologies including writing test plans and test cases.  - Strong experience with test effort estimation and tracking and keeping teams on schedule.  - Experience and knowledge of Agile development methodology.  - Thorough knowledge of software release procedures and software defect tracking.  - Experience with virtualization products (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)  - Significant knowledge of Operating Systems and networking.  - Solid ability to lead others, provide guidance and mentoring, and set project priorities.  - Programming proficiency (e.g C, C++, Java, PERL) a plus  Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, Experience) :  - BS or MS degree or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field. For individuals holding an advanced degree in one of these fields, additional years of formal education may be regarded as equivalent work experience.  - 10+ years of directly related work experience. Equivalent experience many be substituted for formal   - At least 7 years of experience in software release cycle.
