Engineering Manager - NUM - Java with DWBI & Big Data

Principal Software Development Engineer - Engineering Manager

- Is expected to contribute to the high level design and do a detail design followed by implementation and unit testing. As we are building out the first generation of our platform, there is tons of work to do, so candidates get to work primarily on new features. The Principal Software Development Engineers are also expected to guide and mentor the younger less experienced Developers

- Expertise in Java is a must

- Create a fun, fast-paced, motivating and rewarding environment for her/his team and beyond

- Hands-on contribution in one or more of the following areas: product work, infrastructure, analysis, optimization, as needed. Ability to do so w/o prior knowledge, but learn along the way

- Lead technical teams and lead technical efforts related to Data warehousing

- Build and lead a high functioning, top talent technical team

- Lead and mentor your team; provide positive influence, leadership, and mentor-ship to peers and the extended team in general

- Risk assessment and mitigation - anticipate and identify issues well in advance and implement innovative solutions across people, process and technology

- Ownership - Own the outcome - we continuously strive for: best products, best platform and best analyses in the e-commerce domain

- Strategic thinking - always think 10 moves ahead, creatively and collaboratively maximize the impact you and your team will have, optimizing for success as a whole

- Solid execution based on established priorities
