Engineering Head - eCommerce

Position Summary:

- As an Engineering Manager for my client, you'll have the opportunity to help define, implement, manage and deliver customer facing systems for our wholesale eCommerce Platform.

- This position, reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering, will manage design through deploy phases of a Java/J2EE based massively scalable, high performance, multi-tenant, eCommerce platform.

- Responsibilities include managing a team of architects, leads and developers.

Position Description:

- Helps define system architecture and tactical solutions for product delivery

- Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects for Global e-Commerce.

- Plays a role of an Agile Project Manager/scrum-master for the services in the associated functional domain.

- Improves, optimizes, and identifies opportunities for improved software development processes.

- Manages a functional domain of the technology platform and builds solutions with Leadership and business to align with strategy.

- Manages and plans to ensure delivery success.

- Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

- Provides supervision, mentoring and development opportunities for associates.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Good academic record and graduated (B.E/B.Tech/MS/PhD) from a reputed institution

- 10-15 years of IT experience with the following skills

- Strong Java/J2EE development track record

- A good understanding of CS Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms and Problem Solving

- Currently hands on writing and reviewing code

- Loves technology and is passionate about building large & highly scalable services

- Excellent interpersonal skills, good with people, ability to negotiate

- Understand the product and project management space

- Experience across the product development SDLC

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge and working experience with ATG or any other packaged eCommerce solution

- Industry knowledge of the retail and eCommerce space with keen interest in keeping up to date on the latest happenings in this space

- Experience on SCRUM methodology and operation in an AGILE development environment
