Employment Counsel
We are Antal International, a Senior Recruitment Firm; currently hiring for Employment Counsel; Mumbai for Large sized Global IT MNC.
Essential Attributes:
- Legal experience in corporate environment with focus on employment Laws or labor practice.
- Understanding of Immigration Regulations of Countries like USA, UK, Europe etc.
- Law degree in any outside counsel (UK, US, APAC or Europe).
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills required.
Job Description:
- Responsible for providing overall legal support for Corporate Human Resources Department and coordinating support for global labor matters of the organization and its subsidiaries world-wide.
- Supporting and advising Corporate HR on all legal matters relating to employment, termination and compensation and benefits policies.
- Support HR compliance programs, including monitoring changes in employment laws and providing employment law alerts on major court decisions.
- Legal advise and support in development, implementation and enforcement of HR policies, Handbook of Employment and HR manual of instructions and interpretation.
- Review and negotiation of employment contracts, settlement agreements and Release documents.
- Managing disputes and litigation related to HR functions, including engagement of outside counsel and managing outside counsel relationship.
- Handling Litigation raised by employee concerns with respect to any terms and conditions of employment.
- Representing the organization before Govt. Authorities on various compliance / legal notices related issues.
- Drafting employment agreements that minimize risks and maximize legal rights of the company
- Advising Management for organization's HR Policy framing on all legal related aspect and its impact on the Company.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Law / LLM with Labor Law specialization.
- Additional (desirable) qualifications: Law degree in any outside counsel (UK, US, APAC or Europe)
