Employee Relations Specialist/Manager - IT/Telecom (6-10 yrs)

Designation: Employee Relations Specialist/Manager

Location: Bangalore

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Build healthy Employee Relations practices, benchmark with best practices, customize for India.

- Interface with employees, Managers, HR to understand workplace concerns.

- Educate, assist and coach employees, managers, and HR on complex employee relations issues; partner with counsel on company representation and responses and work closely with HR team to bring issues to conclusion and drive successful outcomes.

- Conduct and document complex investigations (telephonic and onsite) into workplace complaints and arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action. Prepare comprehensive reports and summaries of findings for management.

- Work with management to review recommendations for actions to be taken for cases of indiscipline, code of conduct violations, up to and amounting to termination. Review performance improvement plans, seek clarification of issues from managers,suggest alternate courses of action as appropriate and prepare necessary documentation (memorandum of record, report, counseling or termination letter).

- Work in close partnership with the People Resources business team and support managers and employees during organizational restructuring.

- Work along with Legal Counsel to ensure that all company policies and procedures are up to date as per current employment laws.

- Work with Managers on their coaching skills for a better employee relations environment

Desired Profile:

- 6-10 years of experience in Human Resources. Proven success in directly and independently managing complex employee relations cases and situations

- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources from reputed institute

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, influencing skills, people relationship and coaching / mentoring skills, problem solving skills, managing conflicts. Ability for investigation and inquiry with root cause diagnosis.

- Ability to anticipate potential issues and diagnose root cause through listening and inquiry

- Ability to work independently and be part of a team environment while developing strong professional relationships with peers, managers, executives and cross-functional teams.

- Conviction and values alignment
