The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence.  Key Responsibilities-  Develop a strategy that addresses customer requirements, procurement, distribution, transportation strategies, outsourcing strategies, cash flow requirements, and supply chain operations performance.  Keep daily records of stocks and ensure proper maintenance of stock register/ store ledger with up to- date postings and the records.  Order new stock as per the requirements, check it is in good condition and accurately invoice it   Maintaining Inward Register, Outward Register with daily outward material entry.  Streamlining the system and procedures for effective warehouse management, inventory control and for monitoring the flow of materials to and from the warehouse with Inventory Module and generate reports in the same.  Handling inventory, records and receipts of inward and preparing delivery documents for dispatch.  Involved in segregation of material, marking, arrangements for transportation of goods, preparing dispatch documents and preparing MIS or related records and sending it to the management for review.  Accountable for handling matters such as stock reports, maintaining issue and receipt records.  Prompt delivery of customers orders, follow up for material transfer.  Entrusted with the responsibility to supervise warehouse operations including material planning in accordance to the specific requirements.  Prepare stock statements and receipt of material in the warehouse on a day-to-day basis to assess the availability of material and dispatch of material in time.   Encompass the planning & management of all activities involved in material planning, sourcing, procurement, conversion & logistics management activities.  Proactively work on identifying improvement opportunities and effectively implement any changes to the logistics   Desired Profile  4+ years of experience in inventory planning, operations, retail, with a history of driving results  Highly analytical, capable of turning raw data into information and insights  Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously  Strong written and verbal communication skills - able to effectively communicate complex business concepts in both verbal and written form  MBA with a quantitative focus, or advanced degrees in Operations Management, Mathematics/Engineering  Strong numerical and analytical aptitude, and high proficiency creating and managing advanced models  Strong proficiency in analytical tools including Microsoft Excel, SQL and statistical software  OUR STORY   In the summer of 2012 on a lazy sunday afternoon, we stumbled upon Mr porter.com.
