Position/Title: Lead Analyst  The Lead Analyst on the product management team at Eka, will be part of a high functioning, dynamic team critical to the success of our Commodity and Energy Trading & Risk Management product strategy. The person in this role will be responsible for translating product strategy and market requirements into world class products working with customers, product development, internal clients and project teams at Eka.   Education  Engineering Background (MBA would be desirable)  Experience  8-10 years of experience in a product management with a top tier software product firm with a focus on ERP/supply chain management solutions/ financial applications. 3-5 Years experience in software company in product manager role  Experience in building products in ETRM space (Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Power)  Experience in working across teams in Software Development, Quality Assurance, Consulting and Product Support.  Experience in implementation of enterprise/web based business applications desirable  Desirable: Risk Management (VaR Analysis), Trading & CTRM experience  Skill Sets  Knowledge of the commodities and energy business and derivatives is mandatory.  Working knowledge of web technology (preferably J2EE) and Oracle EBS/SAP applications.  Knowledge of N-Tier Architecture, Design patterns, Object Oriented Design and Modeling  Strong project management, communication and presentation skills.  Contribute towards improving existing approaches by seeking opportunities to creatively transform current industry practices into fresh alternative solutions.  Responsibilities  Manage the product roadmap and strategy and coordinate the collection, description, analysis and prioritization of requests for new product functionality from customers and prospects and serve as primary product expert and evangelist.  Lead product solutioning, co-ordinate development and release process for assigned products and maintain the product road map. Create detailed MRDs/PRDs and functional specifications document.  Support marketing and sales through leading the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including customer presentations, sales training guides, product brochures, FAQs, user guides, online marketing content and demos.  Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain functional analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.  Lead beta testing of new products and features. Document and report problems and recommend solutions/improvements to program managers. Participate in product performance benchmarking activities.  Sole authority on product certification post beta testing.  Perform product demonstrations at trade shows, online seminars, and other events.  Manage 3rd party relationships with technology partners and solutions providers
