This includes both execution of the Practice's knowledge strategy andsupporting client assignments.  - The Senior Research Analyst will work closely with Researchers and Consultants around the world as a fully-integrated team member of the Private Equity Practice. He/she will have dual reporting to the Global Private Equity Practice Specialist (Carrie Ngo, in New York) and the KCI Research Leader (Uday Broca, in Gurgaon).The Senior Research Analyst will also receive guidance from the Global Private Equity Practice Leader (Alessandro Di Fusco, in Milan), Private Equity Research Analyst (Yogesh Kumar, in Gurgaon), and Private Equity Senior Research Analyst (Salman Mir, in Gurgaon).  - The Private Equity Practice envisions the Senior Research Analyst role as a growth opportunity for individuals excited to learn about the dynamic and complex Private Equity industry.  Key responsibilities and accountabilities :   Knowledge Management (75% time allocation) :   - Partner with the Global Private Equity Practice Specialist on key knowledge-building initiatives and information-sharing activities to support the growth of the Global Private Equity Practice.   - Develop specialist knowledge and insights into the trends, strategies and characteristics of the industry, leading firms, and portfolio companies to advise colleagues on business development and assignment execution.  - Network and build relationships with colleagues in the Private Equity Practice globally, downloading their knowledge and synthesizing the learnings.  - Monitor and share client-specific updates with key account teams comprising consultants and researchers.  - Alert relevant colleagues of key people moves and market developments, highlighting potential business development opportunities.  - Leverage expertise to help develop winning business development pitches.  - Lead human capital-focused research projects to augment assignment execution capabilities.  - Execute or direct the analysis of external investment activity, key account performance, regional and office performance, and other data sets to inform business development and global priorities.  - Contribute to the Firm's knowledge management activities by collaborating with colleagues aligned to other practices to share expertise and develop best practices.  - Record pertinent information in a timely manner, and ensure relevant learnings and documents are captured and disseminated.  Assignment Research (25 % time allocation) :   - Support client assignments determined by the Global Private Equity Practice Specialist.   - Leverage individual and Firm knowledge to advise on the search strategy at the beginning of the search process.  - Identify and prioritize target companies through market research.   - Build in-depth knowledge of key markets and talent pools, and identify candidates by using internal and external sources.  - Verify and update candidate details in the internal database using external data sources.  - Create supporting materials, such as client-ready candidate profiles and progress reports.  - Ensure the real-time capture of insights on candidates and companies in the Firm's proprietary database throughout the course of an assignment.  Candidate Profile :   Knowledge/Experience :  - An undergraduate degree from an accredited academic institution is required.An advanced degree is preferred.   - 4-6 years of professional experience.  - Experience in leading international project teams in a professional services environment.
