Dr Reddys - Mergers & Acquisitions - Corporate Finance (3-7 yrs)
Role: Team Member | Mergers & Acquisition
Reporting To: Sr Vice President – Treasury & Corporate Development
Location: Corporate Office, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad
Role Summary:
- To identify and execute qualified investment opportunities that fit into strategic business objectives within the risk appetite of the company and its capital investment targets set for the business.
- The objective of the role shall be to achieve targeted inorganic growth for various business units and company as a whole.
- The role would facilitate in filling strategic gaps in the portfolio in terms of products, therapeutics area, technology or geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
Identification of deal and opportunities:
- Screening of probable targets and short-listing the same based on the strategic gaps identified in the portfolio or geographic presence
- Ensure cross-BU alignment upon deal identification in order to achieve synergies within the organization
- Evaluate "Build Vs Buy" for all deals as an evaluation parameter of a deal
- Coordinate risk report with Risk management team and circulate to MC
Deal management and execution:
- Prepare Target's scorecard
- Support the cross functional team formed for deal execution
- Conduct Business valuation, Due diligence, negotiations and support in Legal documentation
- Structure deal in order to ensure value enhancement of the deal
Integration and post-deal evaluation:
- Drive and achieve the targeted quantified synergies
- Implement Risk mitigation and close number of open items in ERM report within 1 year
- Track integration effectiveness by comparing "Budget Vs Actual" performance
Divestitures:
- Explore divestment opportunities for identified businesses
- Prepare and circulate teaser / information memorandum amongst bankers to seek bids from probable interested companies
- Coordinate closing activities for divestiture
Operating Network:
- Internal: Corporate Analytics, Enterprise Risk Management, Secretarial team, Strategic planning and Business Development - Corporate
- External: Boutique bankers - major geographies, External valuators, Database Managers
Educational Qualifications : MBA / or any other equivalent stream.
Experience Required: 3 to 7 years of experience specifically in M&A or business development in a pharmaceutical industry with an understanding of the business. In-depth understanding of global pharma markets including regulated markets, branded and unbranded markets, nascent technologies etc.
