Role: Marketing Manager

Reporting To: Country Manager - Myanmar

Team Size: 2

Location: Yangon, Myanmar

Technical Requirements: Good understanding of the pharmaceuticals market, marketing & branding and OTC business

Educational Qualifications: An academic background in pharmaceuticals/medicine is desirable. An MBA is required.

Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years experience in pharmaceutical industry of which at least 2 years are in a role handling a marketing portfolio

Context

Our Myanmar business has been growing at a rapid pace. We have crossed USD 5.5 Mn in top line in FY13, with plans to reach more than

USD 7 Mn in FY14 and crossing USD 10 Mn by FY17.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in formulation of marketing strategy for existing products. Prepare marketing plan for gaining market share.

- Evaluate and identify products for introduction into market

- Prepare launch plan for new products in Myanmar market. Conduct post-launch audit.

- Facilitate post-marketing clinical trials

- Develop individuals in marketing team

Operating Network

Internal: Brand managers, Sales managers, HR, Finance, Regulatory Affairs

External: Interface with key opinion leaders, heads of country medical authorities, advertising agencies

Key Personal Attributes

- Self starter, displays initiative and is passionate about developing brands

- Excellent communication skills

- Good people management skills

- Cross cultural sensitivity and flexible food habits (willingness to adapt to South East Asian/Burmese cuisine)
