The Head of Supply Planning is a critical role in the Supply Chain & Planning in delivering against aggressive & exciting Brand, Sales and Supply Chain initiatives.

- The Head is accountable for setting the vision for the Supply Planning team and building the team's skills & capabilities to meet the needs of our growing businesses & supply network. This role supports readying the supplier network for current & future business growth while driving continuous improvement and creating a fun, productive and learning work environment.

- The Head of Supply Planning leads the planning function and is responsible for all aspects of planning, inventory, supply planning and distribution management.

This includes overseeing a team of skilled planners responsible for the development & execution of plans for each location in order to meet/exceed inventory & service level targets.

- The Head is also owns the oversight of both short term & long term capacity planning, inclusive of identifying risks, determining future requirements and partnering on the long term vision of the Supply Chain network.

- The Head is responsible for understanding organization strategies and execution timelines aligning them with operational plans for execution and will apply a range of influencing styles to overcome obstacles to consensus. Also critical for this role is to coach and manage the Supply Planning team to take action, encourage continuous improvement and be balanced business partners across the organization.

This is a large people management role, wherein People up to GM Level will report into this position.

Team Size - 8 to 15 Direct and Total 30 to 45

Candidate will be responsible to handle end to end SCM (Supply & Planning):

- Demand Planning

- Inventory Planning

- Supply Chain Planning

- Distribution / Logistic Management / Transportation / Warehouse / DSA

Key Role:

- Corporate Planning & SCM team work towards implementation of SC Planning projects & processes including Demand, Supply and operations planning processes. Lead Programs and Projects in the area of Supply Chain. Key area of responsibility would encompass S&OP, Inventory Management, Demand Forecasting, Supply Planning, WH Capacity Planning, logistics Engineering, Network optimization, New Product Launches and Projects Management.

- Develop and manage daily, weekly and quarterly supply planning plans to meet quarterly financial revenue plans, while achieving aggressive order cycle time goals and minimizing goods and liability.

We are looking for a driven, experienced and hands-on Supply Planner to own the planning & Logistic / Distribution process and drive fulfilment of each region's forecasted demand. This person will be the focal point in development, communication, and execution of product demand and supply plans.

The Demand & Supply Planning - Analytical Lead will be asked to play at multiple levels of leadership across several functions / categories and multiple projects. The goal of this activity is to improve the Demand Planning based on Forecast, having liaising with multiple different - different stakeholders internally.

Champion process improvements and tool development in support of ongoing inventory planning and supply management requirements.

Understand short and long term supply/demand/capacity needs based on forecast and demand.

- Support the critical day-to-day supply and demand planning functions

- Business and technical leadership role on transformational Inventory, Demand and Supply planning.

The right resource will accomplish their work through successful collaboration with the Demand, Inventory & Supply Planning team as well as multiple cross-functional teams, which will include Sales, Operations, Marketing, logistics and Production.

Supply Chain Business Transformation Project Work:

- Demand Planning Core Team Member

- Demand Planning Software Tool Owner

- Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Core Team Member and Sub-Team Lead

- S&OP Reporting

- Business Intelligence and Analytics

- DSP Metrics - Lead Data Analyst for Operations

Day-to-day Business Functions

- Overall systems and process support for all DSP and Operations.

- Forecasting Planner Support as needed (e.g. Seasonal Items, Club, New Product Introductions)

Supply Planning : Data Analyst & Process Improvement Support

Provide planning and process expertise on other key initiatives:

- New Product Launches

- Supply Planning & Communication

- Other Projects as Assigned

Distribution and Logistics:

- Manage logistics to enable on-time and predictable delivery of materials to all points of consumption.

- To manage and oversee the logistic team and ensure that the resources are in place to handle the daily and changing demands; assessing and delegating tasks to logistic team

Strategic Logistics management: Pick point to Distribution Point.

- Collaborate with end customers to maximise logistics efficiencies, reduce leads times and minimise costs.

- Build and actively work to strengthen relationships with internal and external customer supply chains and logistics functional areas to create joint supply chain strategies aimed at improving profitability and growth, as well as drive strategic partnerships.

- Experience of handling multiple Depots / Distribution points, and of managing a multi-temp environment would be considered advantageous.

- Leverage lowest integral costs to serve between supply points and points of sales/distribution and manage the routes to market.

- Create blue print for Warehousing and Logistics.

- Ensuring statutory compliance, risk mitigation and quality, safety, hygiene.

- Optimization of supply chain costs through, setting up the right /DC network, right inventory models and efficient buying/sourcing strategies.

- Revamping the Route to Market strategies to improve Revenues and optimize the costs thereby adding to the bottom-line of the business.

- Setting up Modern Warehousing Infrastructure to cope up with the growth in business.

Applying Criteria / Criteria to Qualify:

Education Background:

- MBA from a Good B School - IIT, NITE, Master or Graduate Degree in Engineering from a reputed engineering college.

OR

- MBA from any Good B School - XLRI, TISS, XLRI, Symbiosis, MDI, IMT, Delhi School of Economics, MHROD, FMS, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, NMIMS, S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, SPJIMR, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, JBIMS

OR

- Any Graduate from a system and process driven organization, worked in Complex environment.

Desired Skills and Experience:

- 10-18 years of supply chain planning experience in any FMCG/ Consumer Goods / Consumer Centric driven organization.

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Possess good time management skills and the ability to support multiple initiatives at once with a high amount of productivity and efficiency.

- Create effective and interactive partnerships across all functions and geographies.

- Facilitate group discussions that build consensus, but also drive decision-making.

- Strong skills in leading and supporting people

- Good oral and written presentation skills

- Effectively communicate ideas, concepts and procedures

- Set own priorities and be self-disciplined and consistent

- Efficiently work in a team environment

Personality and Skills:
