Client Details

The client is one of the world's best known names in annual events - a global event that started in India a few years back and enjoys a huge fan following. With footfall increasing YoY and more cities to reach every year, they are expanding rapidly. They feature talks, events, merchandise and competitions within the main event itself. Currently, they are looking for someone to head sponsorships for them as the Director - Sponsorship Sales.

Job Description

Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent would be responsible for :

- Researching and pipe lining potential sponsorship sources

- Having an existing network of contacts to reach out to for sponsorship sales

- Building networks with C-level contacts at potential clients

- Consulting with prospective sponsors to generate and sign on win-win deals

- Preparing and presenting proposals for the sponsorship calendar

- Negotiating with both sides' best interests in mind and exceeding set targets

Profile

The ideal candidate would come with at least 5+ years of proven experience in sponsorship sales, for large scale events, especially those events that include exhibition space selling and merchandise sales. You'd need to be a fun personality, someone who embodies the brand itself, while at the same time has the communication and presentation skills to go to clients and win big sponsorships. A self-starter with experience in this space and a pre-existing network, would be perfect.
