Director - PMO - Consulting Firm (10-15 yrs)

Based in Bengaluru and reporting to the CEO

Role Objective: To head the PMO function and work closely with respective business heads on three core areas: Strategy, Program Management and Org Management in order to achieve strategic objectives. Head the Program management in developing overall company strategy, business planning, performance analysis, liaison with business heads and collaboration with cross functional teams (Services, Legal, Business Development, Finance and other internal teams) to drive strategic growth initiatives, developing business forecasts and tracking Projects.

Role:

- Assist & coordinate the strategy planning exercise

- Development and alignment of project plans, monitor scope, schedule, and resources to help drive the successful delivery of project tasks

- Co-ordinating Cross Functional teams to ensure project deliverables

- Provide data-driven analysis and insights to facilitate executive decision support

- Program-manage key initiatives and organize periodic reviews and assessment

- Develop standardized project tracking templates and reporting metrics to be used by the team to improve processes and efficiency in tracking and completing projects

- Be an expert resource for the team with regard to project planning, organization, and efficiency

- Drive implementation of key initiatives encompassing growth, profitability, customer connect and organization development.

- Manage key relationships with consultants, knowledge and analytics partners

- Project accounting (forecasts revenues, profitability, and utilization across projects).

- Enable business growth by optimizing cost and improved resource utilization

- Resource optimization & deployment (Vendor Management)- for captive business accounts for their third party vendors- based on skill and business vertical

- Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders, functional heads & clients to drive successful closure on projects or programs with adherence to project costs and timelines

- Drive process, systems & data governance across the organization for all joint ventures and managed service accounts. Establish benchmarks and best practices to suggest process improvements to SBU s & start ups companies

- Program & Account manage new set ups (valued $40 M-$200 M of revenue), expansions, start-ups & process improvement projects for Fortune 500 companies in ITES- Retail & Financial sector

- Ownership for practical implementation and enforcement of the project management methodology, creation of tools and processes (covering areas such as risk management, change control, planning, resource management, document inventory management, project governance, quality management etc.)

- Prepare & maintain weekly/monthly Program/Project status reports, Account related calls.

- Guidance to develop and monitor project schedules and timelines to identify and meet critical mile stones.

- Utilization, productivity, revenue analysis for the organization.

- Assist with defining/designing and implementing of the Management Information Dashboards and tools.

- Keeping track of resource allocation- current & future projects. Complete manpower planning.

- Tracking productivity tracker and generating effort reports /utilization reports- highlight leakages & suggest action plans to mitigate.

- Keeping track of all projects, mails & discussions on a timely basis.

- Responsible for ideation, strategy development, planning & program management of the capability, infrastructure & resource (people, process & technology) build-out for the strategy execution.

- Portfolio and program management of multiple cross-functional strategic projects, managing communication & relationship with senior business leaders in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific for successful deployment of strategic imperatives.

- Leading a team of consultants involved in consulting solution delivery, product management, transformation consulting, Project, program and portfolio management (PMO) and business strategy.

- Program Tracking and Reporting: Define timing, tools and the process for collecting updates across the integration team relating to progress on key activities, completion of deliverables, issues and decision status. Produce executive level reporting relating to all M&A integration work streams.

- Thought Leadership: Providing thought leadership and analytical rigor to identify operational and integration issues, developing solutions, and driving decision making and escalation across multiple stakeholders.

Required:

- A MBA (Finance /Marketing) with 10 years- experience in the relevant domain

- Over 5 years direct project/program/portfolio management experience

- Extensive knowledge and expertise in project management disciplines

- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and integrations a plus

- Strong leadership skills

- Demonstrated expertise with various industry PM tools and methodologies

- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, business processes, and processing environments

- Ability to balance the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual decisions

- Multi-tasking, ability to conceptualize, implement new processes, create - update - follow up, attention to detail, working under stringent deadlines and aggregating and interpreting data.

- Abilities in business acumen; strategy formulation and M&A integration; Financial data comprehension & inference development; project management & team working.

- Strong on analysis of Financials and business metrics

- Should have good sense of time management, planning & organizing, judgement and analysis

- Experience in Reputed Consulting firms preferred

- Operational depth also required - will need to work with different teams / businesses to roll out Projects

- Ability to deal with conflict and client feedback in a positive way.

- Demonstrated strong client management skills and experience

- Demonstrate strong awareness of project management methodologies and the successful application of different approaches

- Proven strong organizational and time management skills

- Strong analytical skills and an ability to communicate findings clearly.

- Excellent communication skills, through oral and written reports and presentations.

- Awareness of project accounting (forecasts revenues, profitability, and utilization across projects).

- Experience managing project plans, resource allocations, and priorities using software and tools such as MS Suite, Visio, and expertise with Excel, and Databases

- Excellent analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication, and planning and organizational skills

- Proven ability to manage project deliverables while maintaining good client relationships

- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
