About the Director Student Placements role:

As a Director of Placements, your primary responsibility will be to conceptualize and execute all activities related to student placements. You will channelize the hiring requirements of corporations into successful campus interviews for summer internships and final placements. Your responsibilities include:

- Brand-building for the Institution as a preferred choice for industry placement to relevant corporate audiences

- Establishing and maintaining strong network connections with the industry, and alumni in the industry

- Effectively targeting organizations that are in line with student interests and aspirations

- Creating and sustaining strong placement tie-ups with relevant organizations

- Ensuring that the institution is listed in the preferred list of colleges of major recruiters

- Promoting Industry Connect Initiatives and facilitating student- industry interaction through multiple avenues such as guest lectures, workshops, case study presentations and live projects

- Leading the placements team and ensuring a high performance, results-driven culture

- Ensuring and coordinating pre-placement talks and meet-and-greets between student candidates and recruiters

- Comprehensively managing placement events at the Institute

- Facilitating and mentoring student candidate preparation efforts towards placements

- Creating and managing all placement-related content, its communication and dissemination through email, websites, press releases and news features (in conjunction with the marketing team)

- Leveraging social media for engaging internal and external stakeholders

- Owning the management responsibility of the alumni and recruiter MIS (follow-ups, decision-making and reporting)

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Strong existing industry relationships at the HR recruitment decision-making level

- Demonstrated ability to meet targets with a keen eye on planning and execution

- Excellent inter-personal, verbal and written communication, and analytical skills

- Experience in training organizations and HR services will be a plus

- Proficient in managing large scale events/handling teams/ developing collaterals/communication content

- Resilient, thrives under stress, enthusiastic and positive

- Self-driven and well organized
