Director Operations for Trading, Distribution and contracting Business vertical

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer or Chief Executive Officer

Job profile -

- The Director Operations is essentially a Techno- commercial and Operation Head position.

- He should lead a professional team for executing and implementing various power related supplies, large scale supply contracts of varied industries, for Institutional sales including various government departments and agencies.

- He shall manage the execution of supply and installation contracts, totaling more than US$ 400 million per year, spread across in East Africa, which need to be mainly outsourced, subcontracted, and controlled/ completed, by Effective leading a team of professionals.

- Responsible for cost effective buying from sub-suppliers and sub-contractor for materials and services.

- Responsible for all commercial and legal aspects of contracts, with clients, suppliers and on -time execution of supply contracts and installations, managing logistics, import clearance, and delivery.

- Meeting monthly target, yearly target, project profitability, fund realization and P&L

- Understanding and implementing various standards and procedures for supplies and installations.

- Weekly and Monthly MIS

Candidate profile.

- He should be Mechanical or Electrical engineer with at least 15-20 years of experience in supplies and installations out of at 10 years- in a leadership position.

- Should have thorough knowledge in power related supplies, large scale supply contracts of varied industries, for Institutional sales including various government departments and agencies.

- Should have excellent man management and interpersonal skills.

- Should be result oriented and natural leader.

- Conversant with relevant IT tools like - Primavera -, MS Project, One Note, Share Point etc.

- Should have hands on experience in execution of supply contracts and installations and related documentation.

- Adequate knowledge in Finance, P&L, LCs, Guarantees INCO Terms, Logistics, clearing and forwarding etc.

- Willing to travel extensively.

- Good spoken English and excellent drafting.
