Director - Operations Research

Basic Qualifications:

- Graduate degree in operations research, statistics, engineering, mathematics, or computer science and 15+ years of related work experience OR a PhD and experience in building and leading OR teams

- Ability to strive in a ownership based culture and passion for solving customer problem

- Leading, highly talented OR teams responsible for building network optimization models for transportation network.

- Influence, collaborate and communicate effectively with various leaders in the company

- Partnering closely with many groups such as operations, IT, retail, and finance teams to support various business initiatives

- Owning the strategic planning and research initiatives involved with the network including long-term forecasting, optimization, and process improvement

- Providing business analysis using mathematical modeling tools to answer important questions for dynamic routing, vehicle routing and network optimization

- Utilizing code (Java, C++ or another object oriented language) for modeling (optimization, simulation, statistical)

- Effectively communicating with senior management as well as with colleagues from computer science, operations research and business backgrounds
