Director - Marketing Segmentation - Analytics

As the Segment Director

- Communicate directly with our extensive business partner base to understand requirements, priorities, and budgets

- Provide leadership and direction for your staff, ensuring focus on marketing segmentation, analytics and research deliverable and priority enhancements to meet our partner requirements

- Monitor the quality and timeliness of our deliveries to ensure we excel in the services we provide

- Work with the appropriate organizations within the company to secure the commitment and resources required to support our initiatives

- Actively work to attract, retain, and develop employees

We seek candidates with the following skills:

- Expertise with key Marketing Research and Analytics techniques - including segmentation, attitude and usage studies, positioning research, customer experience research, sub-segmentation analyses, customer profiling analyses& targeting, statistical technique to better understand behaviors and needs. Importantly, the ability to uncover meaningful insights from the research and analytics. This person should have the experience of working on segmentation projects and making it actionable within an organization. This person should have a hands-on approach and capable of incorporating appropriate product strategy within chosen target segments.

- Strategic Thinking and Thought Leadership – The ability to take the insights from various pieces of consumer research and weave them together with other internal and external information to develop strategies for the organization that will allow it to achieve aggressive growth targets.

- Ability to effectively influence and lead in a team environment characterized by rapid change and high availability targets

- Strong interpersonal, Influencing skills, project management and organizational skills, along with excellent verbal and written communications skills

- Ability to work across business and system groups at all levels

- Customer service orientation, demonstrated by ability to deliver quality effort in a highly demanding environment

- Collaborate, as needed, with other service providers and vendors on product related issues

- Willing to travel frequently

Education and Experience :

- MBA or MS from premier institute. 12+ years of experience.

Skills/Knowledge :

- Proven leadership ability with strong client relationship skills.

- Strong marketing skills, with emphasis on segmentation

- Ability to effectively interface and influence with Senior Management

- Strong Solutioning, Consulting and quantitative skills required.

- Excellent business judgment and ability to recognize business implications of data.

- Competence in analytics and research techniques

- Must have effective oral and written skills, including use of compelling visuals to effectively communicate challenging or technical concepts.

- US experience in Financial Services is a plus

- Strategic acumen and knows how to package data into insights

- Project and time management skills with an ability to set and maintain priorities in a multi-task environment.

Job/Role :

- Manage a team of 20+ people with varied experience levels and multiple skill sets in the areas of Data Modeling, Strategic Analytics and Secondary Research

- Face off with Senior US Business Partners on a regular basis for prioritizing the projects and planning for delivery. Work closely with on shore and off shore teams to ensure seem less delivery of the projects.

- Build culture of innovation and thought leadership to go beyond delivery and add more value through insights

- Act as Integrator for combined theme insights

- Increase effectiveness of the team by identifying opportunity areas and solutioning these new opportunities

- Work on taking the capabilities to the next level. Strive to be best in class.
