Location : Delhi, Bangalore

Reporting to: Country Head

Experience: 18 to 26 years

Salary: Upto 35 lacs p.a (Delhi) and Upto 25 lacs p.a (Bangalore)

We manage end-to-end Recruitment and Selection mandates across levels and functional domains; Designed selection tools and methodologies; Managed national print/online advertisements as well as Process documentation.

Our client which is a reputed, nationally registered child centred Non-Profit Organization. For over 25 years, it has helped communities throughout India to help themselves, so that children have access to their rights including the right to protection, basic education, proper healthcare, a healthy environment, livelihood opportunities and participation in decisions which affect their lives. Our client currently works across 12 states in India and has impacted the lives of over a million children. It is looking to recruit leaders in Marketing & Fundraising to share the NGO's vision is of a world in which all children realize their full potential in societies, which respect people's rights and dignity.

About the Role:

- To provide leadership in order to manage and leverage strategic aspects of the organisation's profile with donors and critical stakeholders to increase the resource base of the NGO and to provide, technical and specialized resource mobilization and communication skills to increase the diversified funding of the NGO.

- To lead the development of communications and resource mobilization strategies to make the NGO known in Indian society as a recognized voice for child rights and as a credible partner for the implementation of Child Centered Community Development programs.

- The Director - Fundraising Head will coordinate and support the development and implementation of the organisation's Fundraising strategy. The Job holder will provide Leadership, and Management to funding from Corporate; Events, HNWI's and Individuals.

- S/he may also support/lead the NGO's Institutional fundraising efforts.

- The Job holder will be responsible for securing and managing funding from Corporates as well as through Individuals in order to develop strong and sustainable partnerships.

- This position would be part of the NGO's Executive/Leadership Management Team

Principal Accountabilities:

Develop and implement a resource mobilization and business development strategy to set and achieve the organization's fundraising targets and help the organization to operationalize fundraising plans.

- The successful candidate will be the marketing and a fundraising strategist and be responsible for identifying and strategizing new marketing and fund raising opportunities and innovations. Revisit the Marcom strategy and create long term and sustainable social business models to generate income for the organisation. Guide state units and programme teams to optimize fund raising opportunities to build funding partnerships to achieve financial targets.

- Ensure continuous improvement in fundraising effectiveness and raising income, in line with fundraising targets to support and develop the organisation's operational and strategic objectives.

- Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; handover to the Resource Mobilization team for closing. Further s/he will explore and develop business leads, relationships, generate and negotiate appointments for the Resource Mobilization team

- Ensure development and successful delivery and implementation of fundraising plan for the long-term funding of the organisation. Help create a culture where everyone feels responsible towards raising funds. Lead, motivate, manage and monitor the NGO's marketing and resource mobilization team. Preparing and delivering fundraising operational plans including setting and delivering fundraising forecasts.

- Identify opportunities for partnerships with organizations and individuals in sync with the NGO's mission and vision. Building the partnership through continuous communication with the prospect, preparing proposals / Agreements. Setting up of Systems & processes required for implementing the partnership. Relationship management through continuous communication with the partners.

- Create and manage a database of corporates & grant making institutions to approach for funds/grants. Manage fundraising efforts with grant-making institutions. Identify grant opportunities and submit proposals in a timely and efficient manner for all projects. Collate, edit, and review all proposals and reports for potential grant-making institutions

- Develop and maintain good relationships with institutional donors to ensure appropriate networking and presence at relevant events.

- Manage all aspects of contracts for the NGO including advice and guidance on donor policies and procedures, clarifying reporting requirement and time frames, submission of payment request. Ensure that all major funds are well managed and reported, attaining their objectives, and implemented within agreed budgets and timelines. Conducting annual review of all key relationships

- Develop and strengthen relationships with all the relevant stakeholders both within & outside. Ensure broad and effective integration between the Resource Mobilisation and Program Departments, together with a strong pipeline of clear proposals, for corporates and individuals. Lead the team in organizing activities, such as organizing donor visits to projects and programs, review of programs, learning visits, which will contribute to building stronger donor relationships.

- Create and maintain clear internal and external communication - Maintaining and devising office systems of the fundraising and communications team to facilitate the efficient organisation of the team's administration. Further, work with the Communications Team to maximize public relations and media opportunities to enhance new relationships. Ensure the exchange of good practice, ideas, and initiatives with the NGO's team

Design and ensure implementation of a communications strategy to make the organization visible at the local, national and international level in line with the Global Image guidelines.

- Design and implement specific strategies/policies for the communication with different internal and external audiences.

- Develop and implement media action plans to establish and maintain relationships with and promote publications about the NGO and its work in mass media at national level.

- Establish and maintain relationships with organizations and institutions in India in order to promote visibility and public recognition of the NGO

- Support and facilitate the implementation of communication strategies across the organization.

- Provide leadership in the design and implementation of public campaigns for positioning and marketing

- Ensure that marketing and campaign messages & images are in line with the overall program strategies.

- Direct and supervise the design and production of specific publications for fund raising campaigns.

- Ensure that the Resource Mobilization activities are supported with specific communication items required for donor acquisition, retention and services.

Support the implementation and dissemination of programs which use information strategically to enhance Child Rights and becoming a Recognized Voice.

- Advice the Program Department and partners in projects and programs that work closely with media

- Collaborate with the Program Department and partners in the design and implementation of public campaigns, events and activities that include objectives of Development Education and Advocacy.

- Direct and supervise the design and production of specific publications required and requested for particular programs and projects from both NGO's India and International network offices.

Actively participate in the overall management of the organization, of the department and capacity building of the Resource Mobilization and Communications team.

- Lead the media contacts in the case of an emergency or a PR crisis.

- Represent India office internally and externally on issues dealing with the Communications and PR

- Participate in the global/regional networks, actively contributing to the exchange of best-practices

- Plan and supervise the departmental as well as individuals performance.

Person Specifications:

- MBA (Marketing) with 20+ years of experience in a reputed organisation at a senior mgmt. position

- Broad understanding & alignment with the Not-for-profit sector and functioning of entities within

- Significant leadership experience at senior management level in a growing organization;

- Successful record in developing and implementing marketing, communication and fundraising strategy

- Experience in brand building/management; donor analysis and consumer behaviour

- Travel between 60~ 90 days annually, sometimes at a relatively short notice.

- Proven ability to mentor and coach staff in different locations and foster a collaborative environment.

- Experienced collaborating with multiple senior level stakeholders internally & externally

Suitable senior level candidates from the Corporate Sector well versed with B2B and B2C Marketing (especially Banking & Financial Services Sector) possessing a sound understanding of the operations/functioning of a large NGO are also encouraged to apply
