About the Director - Marketing excellence :

- The Director - Marketing excellence anchors the responsibility of providing marketing excellence expertise to all aspects of the business including internal communication along with the core portfolio of brand and product marketing. The incumbent will actively support the vision of incorporating a new mindset to broaden how the company brings its brands alive to customers consumers and shoppers.

- In addition, the incumbent will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at the company and will anchor the larger enterprise responsibility when it comes to aspects such as talent calibration within the organization, mentoring across functions etc.

Core deliverable for the role :

- Responsible for meeting the agreed and committed Top-line plans for the year for the Key Brands and beating market share objectives

- Defining the overall marketing strategy of the company including the Budget Allocation, media selection, launch/exit decisions, and sales support in terms of marketing material

- Custodian of all the marketing material that is developed within the organization

- Drives Marketing Excellence by defining and driving the Brand Planning process for all brands and developing the marketing mix and calendar for the brands.

- Building a talent pipeline which can appreciate, understand and leverage the ethical and patient marketing opportunities for the brands

- Collaborating with the Global Marketing Teams to help accelerate bringing global development to India and where required advocating changes in global mindset to meet the needs of the Indian consumer.

- Seeking strong internal collaboration between the Marketing Team and other Medical and Regulatory teams.

- Building capability across the marketing team in planning, marketing processes, market research and communications.

- Driving Digital Innovation to increase Sales Rep effectiveness with the Doctor, to increase the salience of company at the doctor level, and to drive more patients to the doctor.

- Driving Sales Force engagement and training across 3000+ sales force using innovative training tools.

- Building differentiated & first in pharma industry communication platforms

- Managing ~50 Advertising, Market Research, Public Relations, and Communications agencies

Experience/Knowledge/Technical Skills Required :

Education :

- Post Graduate / Management Degree (Sales and Marketing/Business Management) preferably from a premier institute.

Experience :

- Minimum of 15 - 20 years of experience, of which the candidate should have spent at least 10 years in core marketing roles.

- Candidate must have experience of working with FMCG Industry

Skills :

- Sharp negotiation and influencing skills

- Understanding of the therapy/disease environment

- Networking and strong orientation towards customer management

- Ability to handle pressure in a dynamic environment

- Ability to handle complex and diverse business situations

- Strong project management to ensure smooth execution of identified projects
