Vice President - Legal - Telecom (15-22 yrs)

Ensure overall compliance with statutory and contractual laws and align policy decisions with business plan; to mitigate the perceived risks of the organization and provide direction and clarity on the financial issues faced by with respect to compliance and statutory laws.

To guide, facilitate and ensure favorable closure of majority of legal cases

1. Vet, draft, negotiate and ensure accuracy of legal documents including MSA, Vendor Contracts, Service Agreements, and Lease Deeds etc.

2. Vet draft writ petitions, replies, written statement etc. in various matters affecting stake of Company.

3. Oversee the requirements and briefing Senior Advocates and law firms about stand of Company to be adopted in High Courts, Supreme Court and other forums.

4. Oversee the timely closure of contracts, service agreements, lease deeds etc. by ensuring compliance by the service provider of defined SLAs, KPI, timelines and other terms & conditions. Restricting the liability of Company and its directors/officers etc.

To monitor and ensure compliance with statutory and labour laws.

1. Peruse and follow up for statutory compliances at all dvisions including Contract Labour Laws, Shops & Establishment Act, Minimum Wages Act etc. To address all issues relating to non-compliances etc. which are reported or comes to my knowledge.

To ensure compliance with various statutory and municipal authorities and making representations to them for drafting favorable laws/policies

1. Send various representations to municipal and govt. authorities for drafting favorable policies/laws and asking for waiver of impossible and difficult conditions. In this process succeeded in getting the formulation of draft policy

Manage special projects.

1. Drive the development of standardized and uniform financial guidelines across the company 2. Ensure consolidation of financial records, timely registration of necessary documents and strict adherence to Government guidelines in order to ensure compliance with regualtory and statutory directives 3. Work in conjunction with finance teams to identify ways in which regional issues can be addressed and resolved

To safeguard the interests of Company and guide them with latest changes in laws.
