Director - Legal Entity Controller - Education (15-30 yrs)
A legal entity senior manager level role exists for an individual with good financial accounting skills and a strong sense of guardianship.
- The candidate must have well-developed communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to build a high level of credibility with management.
The key responsibilities of the role are :
- Management of a direct report
- Guardianship function managing a number of key month end adjustments required for IFRS and US GAAP reporting
- Guardianship function managing the preparation and presentation of Balance Sheet reporting to tight deadlines including commentary supporting month end positions under both IFRS and US GAAP
- Management of the delivery of additional external reporting including Federal Reserve and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reporting as well as Office for National Statistics submissions
- Involvement in monthly due diligence and sign-off of account balances
- Liaise with Business Unit and Regulatory Control groups around the globe
- Contact for Controllers of branch and subsidiary entities
- Involvement in developing and re-engineering existing processes through exposure to key firm projects
- Escalation of issues to Management
