Director - IT Operations & Infrastructure - FMCG Conglomerate
Key Responsibilities :
Financial : This role has financial accountability for global IT Operations and Infrastructure related IS budget as well as overheads associated with the direct team.
The role is accountable for the delivery of IT Operations and design, implementation & running of global IT Infrastructure, including costs associated with, but not limited to :
- Data network
- Voice network
- Server infrastructure and data storage
- Hosting
- Disaster recovery
- Cloud
- Clients
- Outsourcing contracts
- Projects
- IT Service and Support (Infrastructure and Applications)
Market Complexity : This role is accountable for supporting the group agenda and achieving constant improvement in integration of and sharing key systems and infrastructure. The role will operate within the regulatory environments of the function/geography. As well as dealing with a variety of Group business units.
Leadership Responsibilities and capabilities : Member of the Global information Systems Leadership Team. Leads their own functional IS Team across all global regions.Responsibility within this role spans the IS strategic change requirements but may be involved in continuous improvement activities for some of the time.
- The role is responsible for owning and delivering key parts the IS strategy and will take decisions that are prioritised in accordance with global priorities as agreed with the CIO.
- The post holder will work with colleagues on the Global information Systems Leadership Team to ensure that their budget submissions and project portfolio are aligned.
- This role will develop roadmaps for IT Operations to support the business and applications through continuous improvement to deliver Operational Excellence. To achieve this, all Service Delivery Managers will report into this position.
- This role will develop roadmaps for the technical infrastructure to support the business and applications.
- Accountability for the sponsorship and delivery of Infrastructure projects which deliver the above roadmaps.

Qualification :
- Engineer (IT/Computer Science) is mandatory
