About our Client: Our client is one of the leading Financial Institutions Globally. Due to expansion in their global business, an excellent opportunity has come up as Director - Head of Operational Risk for their Global Shared Service centers based in India. They are looking for seasoned professional with around 18-20 years of experience to join their team as Director managing the overall control environment of the businesses including retail and corporate banking operations, technology and other support services.

Job Description : You would be responsible for managing and strengthening Risk Management and Control Environment across shared services.

You would also be responsible for:

- Developing and implementing the overall control environment to manage operational losses and compliance to SOX regulations.

- Ensuring that the team meets its obligations in managing the framework aligned to all 3 lines of defense.

- This function will be established in response to the critical business need for end to end knowledge and understanding of banking processes for and for all major projects incorporated within the COE.

- You would also be responsible for managing the relationship with COE's Compliance, Group Internal Audit and external audit teams, and is expected to represent India at group wide risk and control forums.

- Manage Business Continuity and related responsibilities.

The Successful Candidate:

- You must be a CA/MBA with atleast 15 years of post-qualifying experience.

- Thorough understanding of operational risk principles and regulations like SOX, Basel etc.

- Knowledge of banking systems and entire front to end processes.

- Prior experience of managing relationships with internal and external audit teams is essential.

- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, supporting long term career development.
